I heard on the news that this summer in Sweden was the coldest for the last 150 years. No wonder I could not remember last time it was this cold…And now I have caught a severe cold – still in bed.
Thinking of the poor little ones out there in the cold. This year many butterflies looked like this poor admiral. Today I found some dead bees still clinging to the last flowers – I guess caught in a shower or just the cold night.
And the grapes will not ripen. With all the rain, they are covered in mildew. Let us hope for a mild autumn then…sunny. Most of us need more than this to stay healthy over the winter.
Wishing you a lovely Friday!

Hi Ann-Christine. So sorry you’re sick! Your first image of grapes reminds me of all those vineyards in sunny Italy. I’m wishing for some sunshine for you and a trip soon to some place warm.
Italy…that would be something now…!
Strange. For us in Poland it was the hottest and most sunny summer in more then 5 years.
And we are almost neighbours…
Looks like ”almost” makes a difference …
…it does…
It has been cold here in northeast Minnesota this summer, too, and very rainy. But the trees, at least, seemed to thrive on all of the moisture.
So you have it too…and yes, trees and moss thrive!
someone should bring you ripe grapes to your sickbed. I love that green light in top shot. Get well soon – we had a disappointing summer too – I guess the UK is more akin to Northern Europe 😉
Thank you, Laura – my poor grapes…I look out my window and see them suffering. Just like everything else in the garden. I am sorry you had the same sad summer.
we will have an amazing autumn and wonderful winter instead 🙂
😀
Beautiful capture. Hope you will feel better soon. Plenty of rest and water.
Thank you. I rest much and drink much…but the cough will not leave me.
I have the same flowers and butterfly in my garden now in California! And yes the weather everywhere is very strange.
It does not make you feel good, does it….over there all the hurricanes and storms, other countries in severe draughts. Scandinavia, as I wrote, very cold and wet. Many bees have died for example.
