Lovely! I have never seen this flower before. 🙂
Maybe it is not common in the US?
Lovely floral surprises.
Thank you so much, Sally!
I gathered some seed of this bladder campion this year. Here it grows mainly on the coast so not sure it will be happy in my garden
The soil is in general rough gravel and sand here. It probably eill not work in the usual garden soil. But I understand you are an expert in this. Keep us updated! I love this species and I have some in my garden. We have sandy soil in large parts.
Far from expert – but like to experiment:)
Lovely macro shot. 😊
Thank you so much, Irene.
Vacker! Har aldrig sett denna blomma tidigare. Snyggt med skärpa bara på en, som dessutom har en liten besökare 😀
Tack Anita! De är vanliga där jag bor, men ca 10 gånger så stora som de på Island.
My first thought was pitcher plant. But I guess carnivorous plants don’t grow in Scandinavia.
I think we have only one carnivorous plant up here. It grows mostly in Lapland . I will have to look up pitcher plant!
Of course. Lapland is harsh enough for plants to have to evolve carnivory. I should look that up too.
Latin family Drosera
Sundews! Wow. We have them here too.
💚
They are called campions.
Very mystical A-C 🙂
Mystical – wow. Maybe it is! This little flower grows 10 times as high in Sweden than in Iceland.
This is pretty! Love it.
And I am happy you do!
Very pretty 😀
😀
Very nice campions. It’s a lovely shot, Ann-Christine.
Thank you for a lovely comment, Steve. Much appreciated.
Nice
Really delightful – has a stately feel with the lavender and white and thin lines – so pretty
Happy you like those thin lines and the colours. This flower is only about 4-5 cm in Iceland. In Sweden it can reach almost 10 times that hight.
wow – crazy that size can vary so much for that variety
🙂
Northern regions in general makes them smaller.
