Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Black and White Photos

This is not something I usually do, B&W, but …well, I’ll give Cee’s Black and White a try. This young man I found sitting on the wall in Greyfriars’ churchyard. We were slowly walking through the silence towards Greyfriars Bobby’s grave – the famous little Skye Terrier who faithfully stayed on his master’s grave for 14 years.

Then I saw him. Alone and contemplating he was – I just had to… not forget him. And everything was…black, white and grey.

Köge – in FotoSketcher

I have been using FotoSketcher on these two from Köge, and I wonder what you think about them? I want to thank Lynne Ayers at Beyond the Brush for inspiring, and giving facts about the program. I enjoy using this immensely. There is much to experiment with.

Lastly – two orchids I got from a young man who graduated in June this year. They still stand here in my home, in the same place. The big phalaenopsis hasn’t lost a single flower!

Travel theme: Horizons

Ailsa’s Horizons is an enigmatic theme, and changing the horizon’s position is a great possibilty to create totally different photos – standing in almost the same position. My entry is from yesterday evening by the lake.

Low horizon

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette

WPC this week is about silhouettes – so, I’ve picked up a series from Gran Canaria. This was a velvet evening walking on the beach on our way home. A couple was standing there, when a ship with partying people came sailing.

Watch the postures of the two on the beach while the ship is passing…

Sitting in a chair in my garden…late, in the silent summer wind…

The night is still warm and my friend Totti is resting at my feet. We are  both contemplating…

…I, the beauty of the roof tops under the dark blue sky. He, the crying cats in the street behind the hedge.

Time to say Good Night.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Water or the Season of Winter

Nothing in my photo stream fits this theme of Water and Winter better than Tännforsen in February this year!
