Can I please come in for a crash landing…
Dear Jo, I wanted to create a Monday Walk post…but now my computer is in for a total crash. In fact it is half way through. Fortunately I had a vague feeling this would soon happen…so I bought a new computer two weeks ago. But I think it is very troublesome to start up a new computer with new programmes and new ways of using them…So first,
I ventured out of my sick bed yesterday and as the sun was shining, I really tried to enjoy my walk. Coughing and dragging my weary body through the forest….collecting some pictures for you… before I slumped back into bed…totally exhausted. Hope you will enjoy them;-D
To Cheer Me Up!
Lying in bed for a couple of days, in fever, coughing and shivering – I thought I had to scramble my bones together and do something to cheer me up. Let’s go, randomly,…from 2011 posts! Hopefully you will get a bit cheered up as well!
Isalind Art – Vadstena
Isalind. I was introduced to her art a year ago – and saw true talent, and art as I love it.. Isalind is an autodidact, but has got all it takes…to make her viewers stand in awe. Her paintings are like photos…only, there is more life to them, more heart, more soul. They are enigmatic celebrations of Life itself.

I had the opportunity to visit her exhibition in Vadstena this weekend, so I could tell her how much I admire her. Please, take a look – you will not be disappointed. Remember, these are NOT photos. The big paintings took her 800 hours to complete.

Varekai – Cirque du Soleil
Ever since I first saw Cirque du Soleil on TV…I have wanted to see them. And I did, some years ago. And, I was not disappointed.

This year they were back in Malmö, with astonishing Varekai – Tales of the Forest. With that title, I was already mesmerized. And the story of Icaros is a story I read as a child as well as a grown-up. These old stories always teach us about life – and for making the story come alive, I cannot think of a better way than this – Cirque du Soleil!

No flash or filming allowed, so these are the posters, and in the header, the scene before opening. The Forest, dense with trees, and the staircase leading up to a path under the ceiling.
Icaros falls to the ground, in the Forest on top of a volcano. All the creatures living here…can make anything happen…
Founded in 1984 in Canada, they tour the world every year and their success and their prizes are innumerable. If you have not seen them before…I urge you to go. It is the ultimate art performance. The ultimate dresses, make up, music, acrobatic stunts, stories and… Life!
Thursday Thoughts
On my way to Varekai – Cirque Soleil. Hopefully an evening of wonders, colours, beauty, laughs and good food.
Have a great Thursday all – My thoughts also go to all those people waiting for Irma. Take care.
WPC: Waiting
From Cheri – a wish for us to show ”waiting”. I am just filling in what she already started…because noone can do the waiting business like a dog can!
In the header, sweet Seonaid’s (my Scottish blogger friend at Breathofgreenair) two bearded collies, and down under my own Mille.
