I love paths, and I love the memories when I once again look at them, remember them…a little bit of sadness, a little bit of…life gone forever.
These paths belong to the Azores, Spain, Madeira, New Zealand and Sweden.
Imagine a lady dog barking at my best friend…and he doesn’t say a word against her. Does not answer. Just keeps playing along in the wild game…Maybe Totti is a bit like the giant flower terrier in Bilbao – a cool beauty.
Those mountain lakes in Switzerland – they are my first thought when it comes to soft turquoise! Fresh and clear mountain water
Eyes for Ailsa – who doesn’t love eyes?
I met some interesting eyes on my trip to Galapagos. In the header, the intriguing Nazca Booby. Piercing.
The Red-footed Booby has got red feet and marvellously blue eyes and bill.
Another interesting thing – the total metamorphosis of the Swallow-tailed Gull. Eyes like deep wells as young, and then….

My first thought is of course my every day dog walking. Walking is also one of my absolute favourite things to do. But, I just have to share this amazing, graceful creature with you.
Have you ever dreamed of ,or wished, you could walk on water? I thought I only knew of one…who maybe could do that….
But, at sea, swirling around our sailing ship in the Galápagos, I saw this wonder with my own eyes. It is an Elliot’s Storm -petrel. I took hundreds of shots…but only a few shows clearly enough this amazing bird’s abilities – it walks, runs and stands on water.
The story of this Storm-petrel is enigmatic as well…It is pelagic, and feeds while fluttering and pattering on the water with wings raised. …”…endemic subspecies galapagoensis. Population estimated at many thousands and although a nest has yet to be found in Galápagos, breeding is suspected to occur between April and October. My good life depends on how much quietness and contemplation I can find time for. Ailsa’s theme this week – and every week… – breathes of Life.

Feel the quiet prescence of this lovely young sealion, standing on the warm beach – just in front of me – with her eyes closed…living in, and enjoying, the moment. No fears, Mindfulness, the sealion way.
Leaves for Ailsa. Trees and their leaves do represent life, and in China I always admire the ancient Ginko tree with its beautifully designed leaves. But on our last trip there, I found these traditionally painted leaves and could not resist buying one. They were framed in glass, otherwise not possible to take home.
From China – so thin and fragile – a handpainted leaf from a Banyan tree. Some lamp light from the right side, but hopefully you can understand what it looks like on my wall.

…the Kauri forest on the North Island, New Zealand, is so impressive, dense and full of giants when you least expect it…I have never seen anything like it and I just never wanted to leave.
On the South Island, we met another type of mystical forest on our way to Milford Sound – The Enchanted Forest.
