All we have had so far is some powder snow – but maybe enough to fit snowy!

For Ailsa – Dark. As a child I was afraid of the dark. I read many books and had a vivid imagination. Today I can still be afraid sometimes…
In the header, a beautifully lit sky on my own doorstep an early morning.
The darkest country I have ever visited was Tibet. But high above Lhasa there is a soaring, shining light – the Potala Palace.
In the header – playing old viking games. From a trip to Scarborough some years ago.
A good friend of ours playing at his own wedding
Mmm, another of my favourite dogs!
And these two are the top two! And they could play…the whole day without getting tired!
The Sahara desert is dried of course…but also the farmland straw towards autumn in Sweden.I love the colours of things dried.
Ailsa throws in a helping hand for us all who are both low and high these days. The world is so troubled and it is impossible not to get depressed by the news received every day. Let us all try to muster some hope, some enlightened thoughts and deeds – we need Peace, Love and Compassion on Earth.
In the header, two old gentlemen walking in Segovia.
Love – my son and his dog
Love – my two children
Love – parent and child
Love – drawing by my daughter of two of her friends
Love – still hiking together
Some sounds for Ailsa, from Nature! In the header – winter ice cracking into spring.
Sparkling fire on Walpurgis Night.
Mmm, the sound of water can be calm and soft, but also roaring…
And maybe the most beautiful morning sound – a spring thrush, singing when you open your window.
I am sorry, Ailsa, but I seldom photograph things fierce…these are both good humoured of course – but at least they might Look fierce!
Go to more accurate fierceness here.
I am convinced I could never live without the seasons. And I can never leave Sweden in Spring – cannot miss the first wood anemonies and the beech trees. So…my theme for this theme of Seasonal, is my home forest.
Autumn will soon be here – crisp air and colours, colours, colours
Spring is the season I immerse myself in all the Green – My favourite season
Summer – how difficult it was to find a forest picture…I guess I walk in my forest just as much as every other season, but no photographing!
One of my favourite ways of transport – trains!
Relaxing, good views, good company. And eco-friendly! For more of Transport, click here.
To me, maybe China and the Great Wall stands out when I think of History. Not only is it very old, but there is so much history behind the building of the wall, so many lost lives and such a fascinating idea from the start.
So, I keep returning to it…
