The Color Yellow for Cee – only one photo in my mind! This is in April this year, when I was driving home and suddenly the sun shot through the clouds, revealing the menacing storm clouds in the east. I stopped the car and used my phone.
The last visit this year to our summer place…meant some thinking and some walking and some …just being. A long goodbye in pictures – a last day of summer beauty – sunny and warm. You are welcome to accompany me on this farewell walk yesterday, from daybreak to a cavalcade of sunset!

This picture was entered once before, but it still is one of my greatest surprises…totally unexpected. I was shooting the tree and the long cloud, when suddenly, out of nowhere, the plane turned up. Almost touching the snow, and without a sound to reveal it was coming. Quite suitable for Ailsa’a travel theme as well!
My many hikes and walks tell me that I have to find the best ones for Cee…now that she gives us the opportunity to share them!
The levada walks in Madeira are marvellous. The stillness in the air and the soft scents along your walk make you never want it to end.
The hiking trails in the Pyrenées can be rather difficult, but their beauty is outstanding. And so are the ”Pancakes” of New Zealand.
In New Zealand you can also find these magnificent boulders on a sandy beach of the South Island.
Finally something of Ground. From the magnificent plateau in the Himalayas – on the road to Lhasa, Tibet.
