Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Clouds
Clouds this week, for Cee. Maybe we don’t think so much about there being clouds at night as well…but sometimes we are fortunate to see them if we happen to look out the window – as I did. They change every minute, and the scenery can be quite intriguing.
Cee’s Fun foto Challenge: Close-ups
For Cee – close-ups. I have noticed their little faces. My Magnolia is awake. They all open up differently.

Details are important. Even if you don’t see them – it is they who make up our world…

WordPress Photo Challenge: Yellow
Yellow is a very strong and happy colour, life giving and stands for intellect. In some countries in the West, it’s representing cowardice, but in Old China it was the Emperor’s colour, the most beautiful and prestigious colour of all.
According to Wikipedia, the word ”yellow” comes from the Old English geolu, geolwe (oblique case), meaning ”yellow, yellowish”, from the Indo-European base, gʰel-, as the word yell; gʰel- means both bright and gleaming, and to cry out.
Wearing yellow though, is not easily done for everybody – but looks stunning on people with dark or tanned skin, and preferably, dark hair. Lucky you who can shine in this beautiful colour!
To me, yellow means sun, spring and autumn. And, of course, the yellow houses in Denmark! For more of Yellow, click here.
Autumn Dew
I’s raining. Not much sun these days, so when it doesn’t rain – we go out. Totti is not much of a man for wet weather…open the door, he sticks his pretty little nose out, turns around and snuggles up in his bed. ”I can wait…”
Whe we do go out, the air is dewy soft and trees and grasses are all in pearls. In the forest, there is a dim light between the trees.
In the open, there are many different spiders and many different webs – depending on where they live and what they want to catch.
Maybe the wheel spiders are the ones we love the best – or at least those are the ones we firs recognize.
Everywhere on everything growing, you will find them. Pearls, necklaces, ethereal. When the sun shines through, they are almost lost to the eye…
…especially in the grass on the ground. But now – they are visible, beautifully intricate. And many!
From a different angle we can see how thickly woven and how close (3-4 cm ) to the ground. It must be quite impossible for a moth or a fly to get detangled from this…
On our way back, the sun finally came out and the misty dew lifted – no more spider’s web to be seen! Instead the few autumn colours shone – the spindle-tree being one of my favourites.
And back home again – my last garden flowers this year. Glorious in the sun.
But…My Hideout then…? Men, Mitt Gömställe då…?
Today is not a funny day – my master has taken down a lot of bushes and trees in our garden and we have to cut down and remove two giant fur (fir) trees that’s grown too big to handle if a new storm comes this way. At least that’s what my master says. Last year one of the birch trees fell over our house, and now he has gone crazy cutting down every tree we have…I had no idea this was coming…no one told ME. I don’t have to say any more …let the pictures speak for themselves…
Sitting in a chair in my garden…late, in the silent summer wind…
