Travel theme: Warm

Spot on, Ailsa. Warm is the theme for this week. Up north we are very tired of all the grey: rain, drizzle, slush – and darkness. Now it is dark around 3.30 pm. I hope your theme will get much light and warmth from us all!

Mmmm…

WPC: Satisfaction

Jen at WordPress wants to know about what gives us satisfaction – and well, every February, week 8, I get a lot of that… I give my 144 potplants a total makeover!

Travel theme: Flavour

Mmm…Flavour for Ailsa. I give you my mango and strawberry cheesecake!

CFFC: Looking Up at Things

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Looking Up at Things

They were fixing our roof…and I looked up at one of the guys – who looked down on me…

What Is Going On Indoors?

Outdoors everything is heavily frozen – beautiful, but my hands and feet are complaining. So, what is happening in my flower rooms now? If you, like me,  love flowers, let us go and see! Click to read their names and to enlarge.

Some of the orchids are always in flower – especially the Phalaenopsis’.

But, right now most of them are over, leaving the scene to some other beauties.

I have many phalaenopsis’ in different colours – this one is abundant right now.

This brown and yellow orchid is the same as the one in the header. A fragrant Cambria.

A 50 centimetre high, impressive Brassia – resembling my old Brassia Rex –

– although this one is not as much ”spidery”as the Rex.

Lastly, a rose – not one of my own potplants. But still – elegantly living its short life here in my rooms.

Blog Break – Reloading

Orkide mm sommar 2016 017_copy

It is time for me to have a break. I will be reloading my batteries for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I will be back with new energy to read and write again.

I am so grateful for all of you, friends, readers and followers out there…the blogosphere is a warm and generous place to be. Thank you for your constant support, humour and good advice – and for all your fantasy and inspiration.

I wish you a lovely summer!

Ann-Christine

CFFC: Pets

I have always had pets…everything from worms to cats and dogs. I could not live without them, but I bet sometimes my parents could have…

In the header, it seems the young cat staring at me never had a camera pointing at him before – or maybe he’d never seen such a weirdo as this one…

Of course my own sweetie, Totti, must be here as well! This weekend he had a short, but delightful, visit from his granddaughter – Diva.

See more pets here.
