In my family we are all avid hikers – the dogs too of course… My photos were taken in Norway and Sweden, before Totti was born. He would have loved it being there with us.

It is, Ritva! I love mountains, and in Sweden and Norway the air is so fresh up there. I haven’t been to the north of Finland though, so I don-t know about the mountains there.
we don’t have mountain as so they are more like arctic hills – Lovely I’m told… to many mosquito’s there for me to go there in the summer:-)
I guessed it would be a bit like that…when we drove past Karesuando we couldn’t stay in the tent or anywhere because of those little bastards (sorry, but I do hate them…). They really are a pain…

Wonderful photo .. and Mille hiking too. Stunning views. The only hiking I done was under my military training – in the voluntary air force – lottakåren. That was enough for me. Love walking but ..
So you joined those guys. I never did. Interesting – for how long is that training? And walking about…we both enjoy!

You’re so welcome – that would have been great! The path over those rocks leads to a glacier in Norway called Svartisen. (The black ice)

Lovely places to hike. I am fascinated by your mosquito net hat.
Those hats were bought for our trip to Greenland in the 1980’s. They said the mosquitos were huge there. We didn’t see a single one. Didn’t here them either…Those hats have come in handy on several hikes here in Scandinavia later on – so I’m glad I kept them..
