After being totally enchanted by Scotland and the Scots – I hardly know where to begin…so much to catch up on of reading and so much to tell!
First of all, I want to thank my blogging friend Seonaid at breathofgreenair, for having us a whole delightful evening in her lovely home. Unforgettable hospitality and my admiration is neverending. More time – I think both of us wished for that…. Hopefully we will meet again – I still have not experienced the Tattoo either…
If it hadn’t been for Seonaid’s advice – we’d never had seen her beautiful Plockton near the Isle of Skye. A drizzle early in the morning, but the views truly calm and serene. Not a wind.
For some seconds – a little less rain. Light unbelievably…light and soothing.
Not many people were out this early morning. No hurry. A lifetime of Time it seemed…
Suddenly there were more colours, more life. Flowers everywhere. The rain had stopped.

Leya – you should count yourself as very fortunate to have dropped off my radar as you arrived in my country as you would have been inundated by recommendations – clearly you have had a wonderful time which is all that matters to me – I am also glad you experienced a variety of weather 🙂
Oh…I would gladly have taken some good advice and recommendations! I just didn’t dream of asking… !Thank you for thinking of me though – I’m delighted! I’ll be back for some days or a week next August, 2015, because I really, really want to see the Edinburgh Tattoo. Now I have missed out on it twice…
Please have a look at Skye (on Warden Spirits) if you are interested. I really love the island – incredible light.
Welcome back Ann Christine ! So glad to be reading your posts again . Meeting up with blogging friends is amazing isn’t it 🙂
Thank you, Poppy! Truly amazing it is – after only an hour it seems we’ve known each other for years! Hopefully I’ll be back because we only had one evening.
Beautiful and fresh.
Thank you so much for commenting!
Any time.
🙂
I studied in Scotland Anne-Christine and I have a real love for the country. When the sun shines, rather like Cornwall, the beauty is breathtaking. I’m so glad you were able to meet up with a blogging friend. We belong to such a smashing community of people. 🙂
We most certainly do – a lovely community. Sorry we didn’t have much time though – but long enough to become real friends. I’d like to walk and talk and take photos together too. I’m back from the summer house now and want to post some of the beauty we encountered. Scotland is unbelievably beautiful, harsh and natural. The people too!
Wonderful that you were able to meet a blogging friend – very neat. This place through your lens, gray or not, has a certain tranquility about it – wonderful atmosphere to the place. Glad you are home.
Me too, but it really was a lovely trip – and great to meet a blogging friend! I believe we really made friends, but met for too short a time we felt. I’ll visit again!
Most beautiful and serene photos! Happy for you!
Thank you! I had a lovely journey!
Welcome back!! Breathtaking views, great photos.
Thank you Amy! I’ve just started looking at my photos…there will be more soon!
Looking forward… 🙂
Love all the little pops of colour amid the grays and greens of your wonderful Plockton photos!
Pops they were – sometimes they are important!
So lovely to see Plockton through your lens 🙂
It was wonderful to meet you, and as you say I only wish it had been for longer…..so you will just need to come back!
So glad you had such a lovely trip.
Thank you again, Seonaid! I will be back for sure and hope to meet you again – I felt we had a lot more to talk about! I’ll drop a mail when I plan to come…hoping for a looong walk together.
That sounds perfect…..with the dogs and nature we will have a lovely time 🙂
So looking forward to it!
It is lovely to have you back and even more lovely to see you have had a wonderful time in Scotland! Those photos speak volumes… 🙂
Thank you! And Plockton is a lovely place…to see more of it – and in good weather – go to breathofgreenair!
Great to have you back again, Ann Christine! You brought some great photos with you. I’m off to Scotland in 4 weeks time and will get back to you soon. I’m heading for Oslo Airport Gardemoen in a minute.
Ha en fin söndag!
Tack, Dina! Ha en go tur och jag hoppas hinna lägga in fler foton från Skottland innan du far dit!
Glad you thoroughly enjoyed your tome in Scotland. Your photos are stunningly beautiful
Thank you so much – there will be more! We had fantastic weather, but in Plockton we unfortunately had rain. A beautiful place I will gladly return to. See it in full splendour at breathofgreenair!
😀
Love these photos of Scotland. The waters look so clear. Can’t wait to see more photos soon. Hope you enjoyed your trip and have lots of stories to tell 🙂
I had a fantastic journey…so good weather (except for Plockton and a couple of other villages) and the people are just lovely. Helpful and considerate. See Plockton in its true beauty at Seonaid’s breathofgreenair!
Vilken resa du har gjort ! …
Wonderful that you were able to visit Plockton.
It surely was. Seonaid is my guru for Scotland – she knows everything about things and places of old Scotland and writes beautiful poetry – and is an excellent photographer as well. Visit breathofgreenair for all of it!
SO HAPPY you’re back, Ann Christine ! – and equally happy that you had such a wonderful time. Your photos show me that I have always been correct about wishing to all the gods we had made it to that stunning country full of history and tradition …
Oh, thanks! I will be happy getting along with blogging again, and sorting out everything…reading, catching up a bit and posting…See you soon!
