For Cee this week – hands. Very useful tools. Not only for showing love or affection.
They might pinch things from you when you least expect it…
And they can hold the most delicate things and creatures without hurting them…
And, they can also work fast and swiftly make the tastiest edible things…
Hands are needed.
They work well in many sayings and expressions as well: ”Give me a hand”, ”All hands on deck” etc. I believe ”hands” are useful in most languages. A Swedish example is ” Ge mig ett handtag” ( Give me some help here). How is it used in your language?

I love this expressive images, whether it’s the hand sneaking around the corner for the last bit, the tender holding of another living creature or the social hands having fun together. Really lovely.
Thank you, Otto. Fast shots in the moment only…but that means expressive too.
Leya, as always I adore your hands. 😀
😚 I’m glad you do!
Great hand gallery. Love the gentle way that hand is holding the bird.
He was very skilled, only a young man in his twenties, but very dedicated and as you say – gentle.
Hands are handsome…http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=handsome
Ah, never thought of that connection – thank you for the link!
It’s a lovely connection isn’t it? Your hand photos made me investigate.
Can always count on you!
Humour at the table……great shot for the challenge! As for the second image…remember when photographers used to say ‘watch the birdy’ before the click.(well I am old enough to remember that and of course the other attention getter ‘say cheese’)
Thank you – never heard about the birdy, but of course the cheese!
There you are..you learn something new everyday. So next time you are doing a group shot just say ”Watch the Birdy”
That is life, isn’t it? When you stop learning new things- stop being curious…you are dead.
Nice photographs, but best of all the bird-doctor!!! 🙂 In my language? ”Hilf mir mal hier” Hug Carina
The young man holding the bird was putting a ring around its legs. I went to the bird center with my students – very interesting.
How wonderful! The bird is incredible.
I loved that visit with my students to the ornithologists!
