A delightful photo with the sleds—or sparkebrett as we call this type in Norwegian—line up in front of the house. I feel like the owners are inside attending a meeting.
Maybe so. Spark eller sparkstötting in Swedish! A very good means of transport.
I’d never seen anything like that, but they make me want to put on something warmer. 🙂

Haha, they are very smart vehicles. Old people do not need wheels and youbg like to just sit and be pushed!
It’s kind of a novel idea from sunny ol’ SA to think of going out to get groceries on a sled 🙂
Hehe…I have not used my own for 10 years now. The winters in the south part of Sweden are nowadays almost without snow. Sad.
How our lives alter with the changing climate and global warming….
It will be devastating…yes, this is only the beginning.
Some one has been sitting on your sled!
Yes, I noticed!
An unusual image, Ann Christine. Are these sleds chained up to stop them sliding away?
I guess from being stolen too. They are for hire!
Excuse my ignorance but looking at the picture I think those are chairs or not? But what kind are they? Pl help me out here. Thanks 😃
I do love you, Carina! Now you made me smile – and learn a new word in English: sled. You stand with one foot on a ”rail” behind the ”chair” and push through the snowy ground with your other foot. It is both practical an great fun. The ”chair” usually holds your groceries or your child!
I just learnt this too. Thank you both 🙂
