Waterford, Ireland, has a long tradition of crystal making, in fact since the 18th century, and is well worth a visit.
If my cupboards were not already full of things…but, no, I did not buy anything. The temptation was not a little one though…What do you think about these?

Oh, wow, I thought Waterford Crystal no longer was… Years ago, we were in Ireland on a car rally in a tiny sportscar, so I bought two little shot glasses at the crystal factory, as I figured they would survive the journey – I still have them!
Ah- you still have them! Lovely! I believe the factory itself is not there anymore. The crystal is made in other countries on the continent.
