I’ve been working on some test paintings of these purple smoke trees – it’s hard to capture the softness of the blooms in a painting (your photo of course captures it perfectly!)
So that is what they are called! Thank you for enlightening me – I have only seen one in New Zealand and this one at our neighbour’s house. Very suitable name!
