I had two wonderful hikes last week – one of them was my usual morning walk turned into a dreamy, yet colourful walk in the fog – and the other one an afternoon walk in a sunny haze. The first one posted on Lens-Artists, the other one here today.
No Milo on this walk – otherwise he would have loved the many interesting stops I made. But the road did not lead to where I had expected…
It finally led down to the lake, where we use to swim in the summer. Now I wished the sun would stay until I got there – it would have been a nice finish to the day.
And I was lucky – a beautiful day came to a beautiful end. Thank you for walking with me again!

such beautiful inages!
Happy to share! thank you!
Other comments have said it all already. Lovely colours, textures and autumn light!
Glad you enjoyed the post, Judith!
A beautiful walk on an autumn day, for sure. I am looking forward to returning to Arizona and our weekly hiking schedule.
I can understand that!
Your autumn colour is way ahead of ours. True, we do have some…but you have to hunt it out. I have that feeling that we will just have a mass drop of leaves before they turn and with gales forecast that may well happen 🙂
Oh, I hope you will not lose them too early! I thought we would too, but they stayed for some days…fading now if I don’t go deep into the forest where no wind has taken them.
More lovely autumn shades and beautiful photos. The fungi is impressive.
Thank you, Jude – that fungi was great.
These fall colors are both warm and wonderful! I’d love hiking where you’ve been!
Thank you – we were lucky! Thought we would lose the leaves before the changing of colours.
Beautiful images, as always – the light through the trees and on those fungi, the path winding down to the lake 🙂 I felt I was there with you!
And you were – thank you!
like always, GREAT pictures. Especially the last picture reminded us of our place in Småland. Memories of happy times.
Thanks for sharing and wishing you a wonderful autumn

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much for coming along – I didn’t know you had a place in Småland!
Actually my parents had. I lived there with my mother and sister when we were children. Later I used it as a comfortable summer house and it became my place.
Ah, and now you have lost it/sold it?
Yes, I did many years ago and bought a cottage on Öland then. When they built the bridge I sold this as well and didn’t buy another stuga in Sweden.
Ah – no more stuga then. Now you live in a wonderful place, so you don’t need one!
Lovely shots of the season, Ann-Christine!
Thank you, Steve.
Wonderful! You must feel invigorated!
Wonderful. I particularly like the fungus this time.
Thank you, Margaret – they seem popular!
A wonderful walk Ann-Christine 😀😀
Thank you, Brian – now that we had a couple of lovely days, I took the opportunity offered!

What beauty, well captured.
Thank you so much, VJ.
Beautiful scenic walks always lift your spirits 🙂
It certainly does – I think we all need scenic walks!
From wonderful details to broad views, you captured the variety of the season. For me, the opening image was my favorite until I saw the second one! Well done, Ann-Christine!
Thank you so much, Frank!
I’m most glad to walk with you to this beautiful lake. You know, instead of a dog for company. 🙂
Haha – well, we had some more chatting then!
Another beautiful walk!!
Thank you, Nora – I have to walk when there’s opportunity!
