One more glimpse of one of my favourite cities – Gdansk.

On the water – always fascinating and picturesque.

The medieval crane, built in the 15th century, is very impressive and a landmark of Gdansk.

The new architectural style fits in perfectly with the old one. So pleasing to the eye. I love this city – and I’ll be back…
Beautiful reflections
❤
I’ve never been to Gdansk – it does indeed look very picturesque in your images 🙂
So it is – well worth a visit.
A place I have long wanted to go, Ann-Christine. Maybe we’ll meet there one day.
We could decide…a date. And maybe get Viveka going too!
I love the idea but don’t think I can commit to anything right now 🙄💟
We loved Gdansk! Thanks for these beautiful souvenirs.
❤❤❤
lovely views!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed them!
I nearly died there on about the 23rd of September 1944. It was called Gotenhafen then, on the ‘Polish Corridor’ . . . I was a tiny ‘boat person’ , one of the last out of Tallinn, Estonia and with mine and bomb damage en route by the Russians . . . never had the chance to learn of more cultured aspects . . . still hurts . . .
Oh, dearest Eha, what terrible memories to live with! So glad you are here and alive! Very much alive! ❤❤❤
*smile* My apologies for ‘cutting’ into all the well-deserved lovely comments the way I did . . . but, truly the frightening memories are inadvertently still there at the the end of life . . . I look at your beautiful photos but still hear the bombs and run away from the strafing . . . ;pve the water pics . . .
And just like that Poland has my attention. Will be waiting for more. Beautiful pictures, Ann -Christine!
Thank you, Sheetal!
Wonderful photos and reflections Ann-Christine 🙂 🙂
❤I am glad you like it, Brian. Thank you.
It’s simply sublime 🙂
Thank you, Pam, so glad you like it!
Looks amazing. The architecture is very interesting and I love the composition of your second photo.
I never tire of this city – I too love the ships lying there.
I see why you like it. It’s beautiful.
I ll be back!
