Well, Margaret – I believe the drop is on its way to freezing, and the strings holding it is already frozen. I have never seen this before. You can notice the drop is a bit wrinkled too.

Is this a little bug caught up in the ice?
I know it is difficult to see, but that is a good guess. The drop is beginning to freeze, so there are strings of ice holding it on the twig – never managed to photograph that before. Yhe drop is wrinkled too.

Well, it is a drop of water half frozen, so there are strings of ice beginning and holding it on the twig!
