Thank you, Anne, for letting us in on all these interesting neighborhoods! And for having us check out our own too… We get so used to it, that we really stop looking.
Ritva is our lovely guide this week, and she has chosen another interesting challenge – a combination of minimalism and B&W. Please visit her beautiful site for more inspiration.

Wow – couldn’t possibly choose a favourite they are all wonderful
Tack!
I liked the simplicity of your second image, Ann-Christine. I liked the horse picture because of the composition, including the way its mane and tail hair was parted.
Thank you – there was a hard wind!
The second and the last are my fave images. But all of them are wonderful. Iceland looks amazing. I think it is made for minimalism photography.
Thank you, Teresa! I believe so too!
Unfortunately, I tried to keep track of the ones I especially liked and there’s no way to put all of them down. Obviously, it was a great problem to have. 🙂
♥ I am sorry – hope you enjoyed anyway!
I liked them all. 😊
♥
Perfection, Ann-Christine. I love the last one and your 4th one. Iceland is definitely on the list now 🙂
Thank you, Sofia – you would love it!
These are wonderful Ann-Christine, they look amazing and very minimalist.
Thank you, Leanne – I had fun with this challenge and Iceland is made for it!
Beautiful landscape shots Ann-Christine and perfect for b/w…well done 🙂
Thank you very much! Good to hear from you!
Ann-Christine, I love this collection! My favorites are the person standing on the shore gazing at the sea, the road, and of course the horse!
Thank you, Beth! I felt lucky to use iceland in so many pictures – a perfect country for minimalism!
Wonderful gallery, Ann-Christine! I especially love that shot of the islands from the beach. Ritva set us up for a week of beautiful images from all over the world!
Thank you, John – that one seems to be the winner this week! I agree about Ritvas choice – loads of beauty every day coming in!
Wonderful photos.
My post on this topic: Minimalism – Cafe Ludwig
Thank you!
Great minimalist shots! Are they all from Iceland? The landscape there is perfect for this theme, I used a few taken there myself. I think my favourites are the seedhead and that first coastal scene, just above that wonderful quote from Anne of Green Gables 🙂
Thank you, Sarah – looking forward to seeing which ones you have chosen! The Icelandic ones starts with the sea images.
Looks cold. 🙂
Cold makes it more serene!
I am trying to find the right words, all these images have a great mood in them- tangible. Beautiful. To pick favorites is hard, but the mountain in the distance, the road leading us to the unknown. I also like the horse 😀 what a wonderful tail. and I really wish: The world needs more people who celebrate the little things in life and find life in every little thing.
Thank you, Ritva – means a lot that you liked them. And that quote is a favorite with me as well!
Wonderful pictures, Ann-Christine. It’s hard to choose a favorite; perhaps my favorite would be the second one.
Thank you, Ana, there are others liking it too!
I love your opener, Ann-Christine. That’s a perfect minimalist image
Thank you, Andre!
You’re welcome 😊
So many wonderful landscapes. I like the horses tail close up too.
Thank you, Rebecca – strong wind from behind makes it look that way!
The seascape with mountain peak is sublime.
I am happy you liked it, Brad – one of my own favourites too!
Do ‘Anne of Green Gables’ and Leo Tolstoy go together . . . they seem to here 😇 ! Just love your seascapes …
Thank you, Eha – a nice surprise those two, don’t you think? I am glad you love the seascapes!
Wonderful images Ann-Christine! Number 5 is my favorite.
Thank you, Anne – I really enjoyed this one as I knew I had Iceland to go to.
Loads of wonderful B&W’s Ann-Christine. The water ones are favourites especially the third photo
Thank you, Brian! Iceland is just made for this.
Ann-Christine, you simply raised the bar with the astounding photos. Iceland is lush even in black and white. Gorgeous post!
Thank you, Egidio – Iceland spells Minimalism!
Wonderful as always Ann-Christine. I think I’ve seen the second image before and it is one of my absolute favorites. Also loved the horse (only you would think to create that image!) and your closing capture. This week your quotes are perfection along with your beautiful art.
Thank you, Tina – I guess this challenge suited me well this week. I had great fun with it.
