# 64 Farväl – Farewell (121/365)

Farväl – till vapnen. A Farewell – to Arms.

Non-Violence is a bronze sculpture by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd of an oversized Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver with a knotted barrel and the muzzle pointing upwards. Carl R. made this sculpture after singer, songwriter and peace activist John Lennon was murdered.

There are currently 16 copies of the sculpture around the world. An original standing outside the United Nations headquarters in NY.

Not many of these rooks (hundreds of them during my walk in Lund) wanted to be photographed – but this one even glanced at me curiously…Even if they often are quite a nuisance – isn’t he/she rather a pretty one?

This Rook (named by Carl von Linné Corvus Frugilegus ”food-gathering”) was rather disabled by a nonworking leg, but seemed to survive anyway. Didn’t want to be photographed, though.
