Tylösand Hotel – Per Gessle and Roxette

Tres Hombres Art exhibits Scandinavian and international art everywhere in the hotel. Mostly modern and photographic. Right now there is about 400 works of art here, and several of them you can buy.

Here is a short gallery with a few of them. Notes under the pictures.

Per Gessle has really put his mark on the hotel design, and downstairs is the large bar with records and posters from his long career with Roxette (Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson) and Gyllene Tider.

Who does not remember Joyride, It must have been love, Dressed for success, The look etc.

In every room there is a book with their incredible story.

Take a walk along the beach while you listen to their unforgettable songs…

Thursday’s Special: Traces of the Past y4-01

Traces of the past – in Segovia, Spain. The most impressive aqueduct,  for Paula at Lost in Translation.

WPC: Weathered

This weathered Castle we found in a forlorn place in the Spanish countryside. We saw the pinnacles sticking up from the treetops and headed for it. A fairy tale castle!

Clouds hanging low – but Blue Skies!

Many happy memories from the Light Move Festival in October –

– and walking down the Piotrkowska street in Lódź, the clouds soared right above me…just as close as they feel now in Skane, Sweden. But in Lódź they were brighter, whiter and let no rain fall on me…

Thursday Thoughts – The Importance of Balance

Magnificent Gran Canaria. Thinking of climate changes and how the tiniest changes in temperature will give massive domino effects. And already do. On everything living. There are examples all around you, if you just take the time to see them. Then imagine…

Just look at, for example, the importance of water – Some simple pictures from an ordinary vacation speak of what small changes in water supply can do to an arid island.

Just take away some water here…

…and this will be the result

Just add some water here…

…and this will be the result

Yes, they are simple examples – but things to consider if you find it difficult to see what is happening to our world. Nature is a Wonder of balance, and we must stop abusing her and disturbing the delicacy in which she is made. Which path do you want to follow – the ”fighting for a better world” or the simple ”adapting to whatever happens” one? Do we really have a choice? I think we have.

The words are candescent, algid, angular, auricomous and festive

Varnhem

Auricomous – blonde

Evening Walk in Copenhagen

Lovely Copenhagen is only one and a half hour from where I live – a must in Christmas time! The markets and all the lights – nothing we have in my little village. So – here we go. Starting off rather early in the Design Museum’s beautiful garden…

…then walking all the way down the main street, Ströget, back to the railway station. A couple of kilometers all together. For more pictures from this walk, go to my photoblog.
