Cattleyas are my absolute favourite orchids. This one has a delicate scent…floating through my rooms when in flower. It is budding right now.
This beauty belongs to a very dear friend of mine. A truly grand Cattleya, and as you can see, the flower is bigger than everything else here, including stems and pot.

I find the colour pink very refreshing…

These tiny roses come from a more than one hundred year old bush. An old lady had them growing in her garden and I asked if I might dig up a piece – and she gave me permission to do so. They still are a feast to the eye every June.

Yellow is a very special colour. It symbolizes a variety of things; for example the sun, being false (in the language of flowers) and power – only for the emperor of China.
I love yellow, but cannot wear it. Others can with elegance – like houses, vehicles and flowers.
