In Sara‘s blog I found this discription of blogging, taken from her blogger friend Dorann(http://countryliving4beginners.wordpress.com): “I have learned over time that there is a lot more to blogging than blogging. By itself, the exercise is rewarding – that is, if you are a true loner. Otherwise, when you begin to reach out to the blog-us-fear, you are bound to become part of a team of players. And suddenly you find yourself not only blogging, but reading, liking, and commenting, and finally, becoming part of a team who are all enjoying constructive interaction to help you to achieve your goals. That is what makes blogging so rewarding!”

I also want to say Thank You, from my heart, to all those who follow or read my blog, for your constant support, likes and comments are the reason I’m still here blogging! Every week I learn new things about the world from you, everything from recipes to new words to social life to politics. I am honoured to receive awards – but my real reward is your attention and appreciation. Sometimes my own time to be supportive is far too short – but thank you for being patient with me – know that I’m always coming back to enjoy your stories and photos !

The word Layers is a very useful word, so many interpretations are possible here. I picked what first came to mind: Flowers and stone.

Ranunculus is a wonderful species, to which also ordinary buttercups belong. But this one, above, is one of the most beautiful specimens I have put in a vase on my table. Its delicate layers in yellow and orange nuances speaks to my senses as few others do.

In the mountains you sometimes come across beautiful coloured layers created thousands of years ago. And if you get the chance to get a close-up, they can seem almost like a rainbow.

My mornings – when the weekend finally is here – are usually Good…especially when the sun is shining in there is a smile on my face. I walk slowly through the rooms, watering my flowers. Alone up and awake. Beautiful silence.

A couple of hours later, I hear my daughter’s bare feet in the stairs. Immediately two tails start drumming heavily…so, she says hello and picks up Mille or Totti and sits talking for a while – to both of them. They all agree on the fact that life’s worth living…

Then I smile, open the door and walk out into my garden, shoes on my feet now, to find some herbs and maybe some last flowers to put on the table. Not much is left …and frost has turned green into red and yellow. It’s a good morning.
