Mushroom magic

My mother and I like to walk, and every year we visit Vedema, only some miles from where I live. This area is perfect  for hikers and others who want to enjoy the outdoors. Follow me and Totti on a day out with my mother, looking for this autumn’s lovely mushrooms! Indeed they are all wonders, and all different ones…

After a couple of hours – and a beautiful couple of gigantic red toadstools, we met a young lady called Bella – and Totti fell totally in love…For some 15 minutes we were all in the middle of ”The Fast and the Furious”.

Walking back again after some coffee and buns, we felt we’d had a refreshing day.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Roads

Cee has once again brought up a wonderful theme – Roads. Here are some of my favourites.

Somewhere in the middle of Sweden – about 25 C below zero.

Early this summer. A soft evening of about 20 C. One of my favourite roads.

Yesterday, August,  on the same road.

Autumn will soon be here. Beautiful but sad. The photo from southern Norway.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Abandoned

Somehow I believe that this vessel is not totally abandoned – only for the moment. An owner will return some day. Hope is valuable to us all!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Habit

I walk the dogs – or rather, they walk me… and several times a day. That’s a habit I would not want to be without.

Their habit is to dig and to roll in the leaves, and for Mille to run ahead of us, just to be caught up with again by Totti and me.

Höst

Höst

Trees…and me

So, I’ll be away from the computer for some days… but…” I’ll be back”, as the Terminator said. See you soon – happy blogging!

Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge: Obsession

Listening to Eric Clapton, and Tears In Heaven, you realize that his explanation is well chosen: An obsession is where something will not leave your mind. Ese’s challenge reveals  that I have many obsessions: My children, my dogs, orchids, my work, photography… I read somewhere that to cure one obsession – get another. But mine seldom go away…they pile up. I’m convinced that they are all of the same origin.

I believe that all my work explores the human desire or obsession for utopias, and the structure of all my works is the search for utopias lost and rediscovered.

On Gratefulness

I would like to dedicate this post and its photos to you, all warm hearted friends out there – you stood by me, were with me and my father in your thoughts. Your waves of supporting, positive thinking touched the shores of my heart again and again. Thank you for being there. For being you.

Precious Days of Extra Time

Someone has listened…and suddenly I see the autumn colours again! He is coming back to us – my father.

It is strange the way life turns…being close to the end and then waking up. Being given some precious extra time…

He is walking our paths once again, through the dense woods, turning around the bend…

DSC_0212…and out in the open! Breathing in the crisp Autumnal air.

Thank you.
