Travel Theme: Environment

Environment – Nature…was here first. Long before us. Here some photos from the exhibition I visited two weeks ago. Helene Schmitz, Dunkers, Helsingborg.

5 Days Black & White Challenge: Day five

Cottage in the park.

For this challenge –

the rules are simple:

1) post a black & white photo daily for 5 days

2) Invite someone different to participate each day. (because no one wants to play alone!)

For Day 5, I am happy to invite  Srdjana at https://srdjanapajevic.wordpress.com/ She is an excellent photographer and it would be great to see her in this 5 days B&W.

No strings attached if you don’t feel up to it.

# 278 Spanar – Gazing (95/365)

Äntligen en solig dag! Full fart på fåglarna från tidig morgon. Skatan spanar från nocken.

Finally a sunny day! The birds were alert from early morning. This magpie is gazing out over her hunting grounds.

# 326 Under ytan – Under the surface (92/365)

Den här byggnaden kör jag förbi varje dag, och har tänkt stanna många gånger…men visst är man oftast stressad? Idag stannade jag för att se vad som gömde sig under ytan..

I’m passing this building, but today I decided to stop and check out what was hidden under the surface.

Travel Theme: Energy

Energi – Energy, almost the same word in both languages. And from the people of Tibet in the Himalayas, I send pictures for Ailsa’s theme, showing some of their most useful energy sources.

The sun, the water and the dung.

Kina och Tibet 2009 373_copyWarming water in a simple way, using the strong mountain sun.

This little water works is for digging the yellow clay to make incense.

A rather rich house, having a real stove outdoors.

Eget tema 1: Säcka – Sagging (68/365)

Det här lilla huset kör jag förbi ibland – undrar hur långt ner det kan säcka innan det faller samman?

This little house has been a sagging sight for several years – I wonder how much longer before it will fall apart totally.

# 88 Fäbod – Shack where you keep cattle/Mountain farm (64/365)

I Skåne kallar vi det här för fäbod, medan ordet har en lite annorlunda betydelse längre norrut i Sverige.

A play with words, but still this has to do with people keeping animals. In Skåne ”fäbod” doesn’t mean exactly the same thing as in northern Sweden. Up there it is more a mountain farm.
