Friendship…Mille and Totti of course. the best of friends for 7 years.
I have always had pets…everything from worms to cats and dogs. I could not live without them, but I bet sometimes my parents could have…
In the header, it seems the young cat staring at me never had a camera pointing at him before – or maybe he’d never seen such a weirdo as this one…
Of course my own sweetie, Totti, must be here as well! This weekend he had a short, but delightful, visit from his granddaughter – Diva.
See more pets here.
Totti is almost always happy, and many things make me happy as well – this is only a tiny selection…In fact, I like being happy, so I am constantly working on it…Thank you, Cee, for the reminder!
A summer table with a summer cake and fresh fruits…
Sitting in my garden, looking at the fragrance of the summer flowers…
Hiking alone, meeting good old friends…
Beautiful flowers…vibrant colours…
And most of all – travelling Life with my children!
I have been nominated by my friend Sue, at WordsVisual, to take part in a challenge of a photo per day for seven days, of anything from the natural world. And every day I should nominate a new member.
On my last day, I must tell you the truth – nothing in Nature is more dear to me than ”my own” forest. The paths I walk every day, sitting under the giant beech tree, nodding to My Old Friend when passing – in whatever costume he greets me. I may travel the world and enjoy its beauty – but This, is my home.
Today, my last entry, Day Seven. Again, I would like to nominate all my followers and readers who love Nature and feel they can find time and joy in participating in 7-day Nature Photo. Again, my heartfelt thank you to all of you – and to Mother Nature.
I have spent a couple of days at a seaside resort on the west coast. We had some sunshine and a slightly chilly wind, and enjoyed the stay very much.
Last night and late evening, we walked the pier before dinner.
Many dogs were out walking their masters, but I especially noticed this man and his best friend. They had that special friendship that made them play so well together.
The way it should be between man and dog. Between best friends.
Just watch them together. The listening and total understanding – no loud voices…
…but talking all the time…
Cooperation – and perfect understanding
Who needs anything more?
They say the lark has arrived in Skåne – the southernmost landscape of Sweden. That is where I live, but I have not heard her yet…Every year they come early, trying to be the first ones to find a place to nest…and every year some of them will die – when winter will not let go. Nesting on the ground is dangerous in any case.
That is the way life works. You have to be brave and take risks in order to succeed. Migrating birds, people who have to leave their home countries in order to survive. But we all have to face this – maybe not risking our lives…but still.
And Winter has not loosened his grip, yet. We are patiently waiting…all except Totti. This is his season, his temperature, his joy. Lagotto Romagnolos do not come with a zip…

To my great surprise, it was snowing heavily this morning. I knew it would come…but just two days ago I heard the lark had arrived. Always the same thing – get ahead of the others…it might work to your advantage – or not.
I finished my prunings today, giving my pot plants (about 170 plants) new soil and a new life. I had a cup of coffee while contemplating their thankfulness.
Time for the dog walk – should I forget, there is one young man here who is quick to remind me…so I had better call my mother it is time to go.
A thin layer of white – and Totti is totally happy!
Suddenly his nose went into the air…
…and two deer gently sailed away between the trees.
Home again I started on the bookcases – a project I have wanted to start upon since long, but somehow never did. So many books…and so hard to sort out or throw away.
Now I must do it. These are some of my old university studies…more than 30 years old. A photo at least before they go…surely to make room for others though. How I enjoyed reading them in those days! With all my notes and translated words inside, I went through them again, sitting by the fire. But, I’m sure I will never re read them. So, Goodbye, dear friends. Parting is such sweet sorrow…
I wonder, do you have the same difficulties …parting from old friends?

Pets – our greatest friends! My two guys, Mille and Totti, digging a hole together, and my friend’s cat, Hoho in his sofa.

We found a new hiking track today – at least we had never walked there before. I was totally excited – many mice to dig for… Many nice scents as well, and – a horse! I adore horses, and this one stood, solid as a rock, quietly watching me.

I stopped often to do some digging, but I could feel …that maybe I shouldn’t. The yearly Christmas bath took place yesterday, and I was still rather good-looking…or so I felt at least.

Anyway, going home again at 2.30 pm meant darkness approaching. And Fast.

A fine day it was.
Regards,
Totti
Sylvain Landry – Love. My two dogs loved each other dearly. And I loved the two of them dearly. Now Mille is gone and only Totti is here – left alone. Love very seldom lasts for ever.
