WPC: Landscape

For this week’s challenge, Cheri wants us to share a photo of a landscape: a wide establishing shot of a scene in nature or an urban setting.

This is the Flüela Pass in Switzerland. Summer morning, crystal clear, not a wind. Breathe!

WPC: Half-Light

One of my favourite poets is William Butler Yeats – here a poem for the WordPress’ Challenge Half-Light.

He Wishes For the Cloths of Heaven
William Butler Yeats

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

WPC: Dance

Dancing water in Barcelona and dancing Swedish people – old and young – around the Maypole. Soon we will be there again…

Music is essential to dancing, and the water here danced to classical music whereas the people clapped hands and danced to classical Swedish Midsummer songs.

I think most people love to dance…it is a beautiful, sensual way of showing emotions. Find more dancing here.

WPC: One Love

One love refers to the universal love and respect expressed by all people for all people, regardless of race, creed, or color.

WPC: State of Mind

The sun spread its glory from a blue sky today – Spring is coming! My state of mind says I am dancing  with the tulips, even if they are fading. Even if I am fading. The world is still beautiful on a day like this.

WPC: Seasons

Jen at WordPress asks us in what season we are now. In Sweden we are still in Winter, but with glimpses of Spring. The ice is breaking up and the sun is getting warmer. A beautiful time with the colours returning.

WPC: Life Imitates Art

Cheri at WordPress gives us an interesting challenge:

This week, find inspiration in a piece of art. Then, imitate it.

Paris, the Louvre – inspirational!

OK, this is eight years ago…but we still have fun together – 6 monkeys and my daughter, the photographer. 7 generations? More imitaions here.

WPC: Time

Time – we are all moving in it – and through it. And looking back…through what we think is a clear window frame, we realize the blur and the shadows. Time changes everything, and we can never know or be certain about the way everything looked or worked…

Not in Ostia Antica, Rome, and not even yesterday, at home. In our minds we can imagine or remember – but the moment in time is gone.
