The last challenge from WordPress this year is My 2012 in pictures. This was not easy – to narrow down a whole year to only 12 pictures. But, I guess it’s a challenge that can teach us something about ourselves and about the way we look at life. Maybe my chosen pictures are not my best liked ones, but they will show what happened in my life 2012.
Thanks for following my blog. I’ll try to keep posting things to interest you. Jorg prote inte svanska…(I know how to say it but not write it!) …so I’ll stick to English. Yours is most impressive!
It’s OK…I have no problems with English. At least not understanding it.I’m quite impressed by your testing Swedish though. And of course I follow because you already have got what I want…I’m delighted!
Love your pics, Ann Christine. I’m so glad that Mille is recovered. You had an interesting year, for sure.

Wonderful vignettes of your experiences over the past twelve months Ann! And Mile getting cured is the perfect happy ending 🙂 Hope the coming year brings you and your family good health and much happiness!
I’m glad you liked them! My hopes for your health and happiness throughout 2013!
A wonderful collection. I look forward to many more lovely photographs in 2013! 🙂
And so do I – from you!
Gorgeous pics and a beautiful 2012 remembrance.
Thank you – glad you enjoyed them!
I am so happy to hear you loved NZ> And that Millie is better. I am trying to treat my fur babies as much as possible with natural methods. The vets here are great but much like the doctors they throw pills at you for everything.
Pills and doctors – yes, they are one. But a good vet is gold!
Lovely 2012 remembrance
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
you made me smile with the guide from Lord of the Ring Tour, what a horse!
Ha, ha, yes! This is an old fairytale horse from Sweden called ”Bäckahästen”, meaning something like ”the horse who lives in the brook”.
I didn’t meet you until late in the year so I didn’t know you’d lived in New Zealand. Lovely pictures.
How is Mille?
Are those your dogs in the dog show photo? What kind of dogs are they?
Oh, we were just visiting for a month. Our daughter was working there. But I never wanted to leave…NZ is the country of my dreams. I want to return some day, and if I was younger I would have moved there. Mille is totally recovered from something the vets could not manage. He could barely eat and had blood and diarrhea for four months. Poor thing lost weight and was only skin and bones. My daughter, however, wanted to try homeopathic medicine for dogs, and cow paunch. We left all his old medicins, cortison and all. And miraculously he recovered and could slowly gain weight and new fur. Now he’s as good as new! But I had a hard time working those months…he is one in the family! The dog show photo primarily shows Mille’s son – Kotten. They are very lookalike and many mistake Totti for his son and the reverse. They are lagotto romagnolos, truffle dogs from Italy.
That is so interesting to learn that homeopathic treatment helped Mille recover. Is your daughter a homeopath?
I’ve never heard of that breed. They are very good looking dogs. Do they both have the nose to search for truffles?
They do, indeed! So they can help you find anything if trained. Any mushroom will do, for example. And, they do not shed hair! In the last 5 years they have become increasingly popular in Sweden. My daughter is into natural medicines, but she has a homeopath vet as connection.
I asked because my daughter is a Naturopath.
I like breeds of dog that don’t shed hair. Our MontyCarlo is a short haired dog so he doesn’t shed as much as other dogs but oh boy when I sweep the kitchen floor his hair fills the dust pan.
What’s a naturopath? Interesting! Does she deal with animals too? We wrote to our good vet and related what we had given Mille that made him well – so that others might try this when everything else will not work. Maybe someone could have use for it. Sadly enough she never answered, and I was so disappointed. I was only meaning to help, no criticizing at all. But sometimes people don’t see that. Monty Carlo – I will have to look that one up!
A Naturopath is someone who has studied homeopathy. She treats humans not dogs but I think her friend who is a vet is studying homeopathy for animals.
I see! I think they have a bright future, naturopaths.
Beautiful post my friend 🙂
Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you!
Wonderful, wonderful shots… I love your photos. The class trip must have been fun. 😉

Oh, it was…that was a wonderful class with every personality being great! I cried awfully much when they took off in June to start their own lives.
Ah! what a refreshing trip this was! i enjoyed every photo, but my favorites were by the sea and your mother and the snow!
Thank you for your refreshing comments! Well, when I look at the pictures now, maybe the year wasn’t that bad at all. I’m so grateful for having Mille healthy again!
you’ve had a ‘demanding’ year, but yes you’ve had some amazing experiences, and best of all precious millie is well again! may 2013 be good to you! lisa/z
I wish the same for you – and may the sun shine on you.
