Ordet Gaudy måste nog översättas med något som är pråligt i någon mening. Den här utmaningen kändes omöjlig för mig att delta i eftersom jag mycket sällan fotograferar pråligheter… Dels därför att vi inte kanske har så mycket av den varan här på landsbygden, dels därför att jag sällan besöker evenemang där dylikt kan fotograferas. Men, men – se vad jag fann! Återigen räddad av Lars Wallin – och Östersjöfestivalen för några år sedan. Vi råkade bara vara där just då.

At first I thought – I have nothing on this theme…but finally, here they are! The first two from Östersjöfestivalen and the last one from famous designer Lars Wallin.

Tackar…jo, Wallin och Östersjöfestivalen räddade mig. Jag fotograferar sällan så mycket färgsprakande…Helt enkelt är jag väl snarare för det enkla och rena. Sen är vi svenskar från landsbygden kanske inte så mycket för pråligheter som storstadsbor. En annan orsak, i alla fall för egen del, är kanske att så mycket färg gör sig bäst på mörkhyade människor. De bär upp sådant med stil – det gör inte jag – blekansikte…
