Ailsa at Where’s my backpack? has chosen a very much loved theme for this week – beaches. Most of us love beaches, but I’m not a great fan if this means a lot of people. I prefer the sunny, lonely beaches with only the murmuring of the great waves rolling in and the gulls soaring, chattering white against the blue sky. Alone with my thoughts.
very clear and pleasant images! i love that dog!
Thank you for loving him! He’s a dear!
obviously I love the NZ deserted beaches and Barca is a fave of mine too as I featured it as well 🙂
😉
I love your empty beaches best, and Mille looks so happy of course. Beaches and dogs make a great combination.
They do. And these Romagnolos used to be water dogs in old Romagna.
Ah, so they have an extra strong love of water. What jobs did they get the dogs to do in the water?
They carried the game, the birds, back to the hunter. Then these marshes and lakes were dried out by man, and the dogs nearly disappeared until someone redirected them towards truffles.
So they are retrievers at heart, I’m sure that makes them really eager to please and to interact with people. I always find retrieving dogs infectiously happy, and with gentle natures.
Truffle hunting is quite a change, but I guess they have very good noses, originally for finding birds in water 🙂 I really love the idea of a truffle hunting dog, that alone makes me smile!
Me too…hunting sounds like the truffle’s running for its life…
Härliga strandbilder! Den från Barcelona kände jag igen direkt utan att ha sett texten.
Ja!
I think I have to come and take a closer look at Mille’s beach, because that is the only one I haven’t been at. Been to NZ beaches, but maybe not the same as you have … but Mille’s beach looks a lot more interesting. Great gallery again, Ann-Christine.
Thank you, Viveka…and, well, not many people have visited Mille’s beach…it’s almost his own.
I guess i don´t have to tell you wich one of these photos who are my favorite 😉 … But i must say he had some competiton this time … As you, i prefer those lonely beaches … // Maria
Oh, I guessed you would prefer those ones too…
Ah, lovely to see you have chosen some New Zealand beaches for your post 🙂
They are the most beautiful ones. No competition according to me.
You are kind!
I’m not – it’s just the truth.
i see you know where to find deserted beaches … you would enjoy our wild beach 🙂
I guess I would…
Love Mille’s beach best of all 🙂
Ha, ha – me too, really…
