For Cee – sleighbells and wild geese are some of my favourite things.
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels, Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, These are a few of my favorite things.
Grandfather’s horses used these bells. Sleigh bells? I love the sound and the worn leather. We’re fortunate enough to have kept them, even if we don’t use them. I knew they were down in the cellar, and I found them in grandmother’s old rocking chair.
Wild geese and cranes early in the morning at Hornborgasjön.

The sleigh bells are exquisite. I hope you gave them a good ring. 🙂
I do! Around Christmas I usually go down to find them, ring them for a while until somebody tells me they hear it…I’d love to have horses wearing them though.
That’s wonderful. 🙂
Love the composition of the sleigh bells – gorgeous, rich photograph.
Thank you, Mary. The cellar is dark and so is that chair…the bells are enlightening!
The quality of your work is just fantastic and has been evolving ! I love it! I have sleigh bells too and shake them whenever I pass them.
It’s a wonderful sound, isn’t it? Thank you for the compliment on my blogging!
It’s true as I have followed you for at least 2 years if not more?
It’s difficult for me to see – but I trust you!
Thank you , your trust is valued!
Gorgeous sleigh bells, Ann Christine. Love the old chair too. What great family heirlooms!
I’m happy to have them. The chair was painted by an old relative and belongs to my daughter. She wanted it as a memory of her grandmother.
Your bells are wonderful, I adore that photo. So are your geese. Thanks 🙂
Thank you, Cee.
Wonderful sleigh bells- what a wonderful thing to have!
What an incredible capture and scene of the second image!
There were 19000 cranes that day.
Wow!!! Amazing scene. 🙂
Meravigliose, belle foto Leya.
Ciao, Patrizia
You’re so kind, Patrizia, thank you!
Lucky you to have your grandfather’s bells, they are so precious and special. I can well understand that you love the sound of the wild geese. Lots of them spend the winter in North Norfolk 🙂 and when they fly above our house, hundreds and hundreds with their magic noise, it’s sounds and feels quite like magic. ❤
Dina
I understand that – magic is a very important part of life, isn’t it?
Oh, marvelous! Those sleigh bells are an absolute treasure!
Yes! Thank you – I’m so happy we kept them!
