The old houses in Jurmala outside Riga most certainly were – living evidence of transition not always being a word with a less positive meaning.

She rightfully does!

Photo lab. Er en app😀 Tusen takk. Ja været kunne vært bedre💕😘

Such a beautiful house, and the trees as well!
I like decay…and especially old houses. We actually drove past this house on our way through town, but I insisted heavily on trying to find it on our way back…And we did. I find it so beautiful, just like you did. Somehow still proud and keeping up style despite being left to decay.
Latvia, that’s a place I know little about. The forlorn state of the house just beckons the story behind it’s decline. So many communities are in flux, changing circumstances, sad transition.
Yes, there were many of these in Jurmala – but also many restored houses. I think I have forgotten to do the post on Jurmala…maybe I will take a look at it again. Latvia is slowly restoring after those years of opression.
Jurmala was the resort I heard about growing up. Sad to see the decline, but hopefully it finds itself.
There were many houses like this, but also many spledidly restored ones. A lovely place to walk through the streets. Not so busy in the autumn either.
