It makes me glad, and your comment is heart warming . That big beech tree, now without leaves, stands solitary on the grass land, and I have entered it to the Swedish tree portal for trees worth preserving. The trunk is 4.45 meters and the height is about 37 meters . And it is healthy. I am proud of him!
Wow! I love trees too and thanks for trying to get that protected. I wonder how old it is? I saw once a plane tree planted in 1790 in France, and in Spain there’s a tree said to have been planted by Columbus before he left in 1492 and it’s still there.
Beech trees seldom get older than 400 years, and we guess this one is well over 200 at least.
