This week Patti is our host, and she challenges us to find silhouettes. If you look for them – they are there, everywhere!
My recent visit to Szczecin, Poland, brought some really good opportunities for silhouettes as well. The harbour trip was one of them. I also fell in love with an Angel…
Finally, we had to say goodbye to Swedish summer last week – until next year!
Thank you, Tina, for the lovely Precious Pets challenge. And thank you all participants for gorgeous – and sometimes quite hilarious – entries!
As always, Tina, Patti, Amy, and I hope you will join us.

Some spectacular silhouettes, Ann-Christine! The sunset pictures are gorgeous!
Glad you enjoyed them – sunsets are safe cards for silhouettes!
That first shot is very dramatic 👌
Happy to share it – I like harbours and the big vehicles and such.
Oooh. Superb! The cranes ‘take the cake’, as we say, IMO.
Thank you kindly –
Some stunning images of silhouetted sunsets. Very dramatic. The first sunset photo with the tree branch framing the sun is a unique moment. ❤
Glad you enjoyed them, Olga! Last summer night.
Such beautiful photos. Sunset.. the colors of Autumn, you’ve captured them so beautifully!
Thank you kindly.

I am not surprised that you fell in love with angel. Angels should be together!
Thanks for the special comment on my post. It is a honour to have metaphorically touched you.
An honour to have you, Abrie!
Incredible silhouette images, AC! Love the opening image. 🙂
Thank you, Amy! That first one is getting a favorite!
I adore your sunset photos! Your contribution this week’s prompt is extraordinary, thank you for sharing!
What a lovely comment, Shelley – thank you!
You’re welcome, I’m touched by your appreciation!
That sunset is amazing!!
It was – and a bit sad for it to be a farewell of summer.
I bet! Autumn has surely arrived…
I love it for the fresh air and the colours coming though.
True. Fall colours are beautiful. I’m more of a spring person myself 😉
Great set of Silhouettes Ann! First picture sky is simply superb!
Glad you like them, Raj! The B&W is my favorite too. Your appreciation means much to me – thank you!
Its my pleasure Ann! 🙂
I love the angel too!
So glad you do!
here are my entries for the challenge. Please let me know if the link works.
Thank you for joining in, Davide! It works. This week Patti is our host, so if you haven’t put a link on her blog, please do!
Glad you enjoyed them!
I like the windmills too and the sunsets 😀
Thank you, Tatiana! Windmills…? There are some in the sunset photos, yes.
I really enjoyed these series, Anne-Christine, particularly the ones with the sunset. It’s tremendously stunning.
Happy to share the last pieces of summer!
Thank you, Nora!
The light in your photos gives an almost magical touch. Especially the last one! Silhouettes appear very mystical throughout the images.
Glad you found the magic in them…and mystical as well! That was a new dimension! Thank you so much!
Hi, A-C. Wonderful choices for the challenge. That first shot lingers in my mind–both in terms of the mood it creates and your composition. I love the sense of danger or ominous power in the machinery. And your farewell to summer is lovely and sad! What a vibrant end to the summer. But I’m still sad that it had to end!
Thank you for lovely words, Patti! I too love the ominous feeling in the B&W. And summer – well, it had to end…temperatures dropped 10 degrees over night. And now winter jackets on in the mornings…
These are beautiful A-C. Especially liked the B&W treatment on the opener
Harbours are interesting – for many reasons! Thank you!
Ah, a lovely selection here, A C!
Thank you so much, Sue – I will pop over to you!
hi a. c., wonderful pictures for the theme,
i like everyone very much.
So glad you liked them, Robert! Thank you for a lovely comment!
Beautiful. Your sunset shots in particular and stunning.
Glad to share them, Su. Some nights you remember…
A lovely farewell to summer ….
Thank you – Autumn arrived overnight here.
Wow wow wow
I love that black and white image on the top. And I just read that line today…To see a world in a grain of sand. You do that through your pics. Really!
Thank you for a wonderful comment! Then I feel I have accomplished what I had intended with this blog 😚
