This was a very special place, a place that really gives me the creeps. A handful of youngsters said they had seen the Virgin Mary in a meadow (I think), and within some 20-30 years now this has grown into an industry. What this is is a great arena for thousands of spectators every week, who come to listen to those who met here and to walk the park set up with sculptures from the life of Jesus. There is a big statue/sculpture of Jesus where people gather and touch his legs and lay down flowers. There is this big indoor center for meetings and in the park also a row of 30-40 cabins for confessions. We saw queues of hundreds to come inside and be forgiven. Not to talk about the whole industry this town had with everything related to believers and May, and angels and…To me the whole thing is horrible. Though I do believe these youngsters really saw something that day…but turned into business it makes me …you know the word. Still I find it interesting to see – how we work, we humans…
That is fascinating background to the photo. I suppose it has always been the way to make money wherever holy sites are. 😦 I prefer holy sites to be peaceful and holy.
Lovely. Were the seats like this for a particular concert? Or are they always set out like this?

So wonderful
Thank you, Hammad!
I love the reflection of the light on all the benches. I think my title for this would be ”Waiting.” It’s so peaceful.

Waiting is a good title – and peaceful it was.
Emptiness and fullness – we love it.
Have a happy Sunday
