Changing everything. Every landscape and season – I believe we have only two seasons now: Summer and Autumn. A very, very short Spring. Like in the mountains.
Sounds a bit like the weather here, Ann- C! How crazy is that? Sweden having a climate like Australia?
In the end…I believe we will not recognize anything from our childhood. Species will disappear and new ones arrive. I sometimes wish our species would be the one to go…I know the world would be a better place without us.
I think that will happen in the future anyway, Ann- C. We don’t seem to be that interested in our own self preservation enough to see what it is that we need for our survival.
True
How beautiful it looks with that light sprinkling of frost. 🙂
You are so kind, Janet, thank you. I will visit my daughter this week, in Umeå. They usually have about 50-75 cm snow…nothing this year. It snows, then rains, then cold, then rain, then snow… At least I hope for some cold. Hope I will not break something – she tells me their hospital is filled with legs, arms and feet.
You’re right. It has been a one day winter. Much as I don’t like the cold, I mourn the loss of frosty mornings, Jack Frost, and crisp walks across frozen ground.
It feels sad and as you say, a great loss for the well being. I just watched the big ski tour, Vasaloppet, running every year here in Mora – they had tons of fake snow and skiing in rain…
No. It is hard to leave old traditions. Traditions here from the 16th century. The snow is made with ice machines, so – maybe it is real, but not fallen from the skies.

Winter did seem shy this year. Maybe she’s late. Sometimes she shows up in March and April.
Yes…sometimes!
Gorgeous view indeed
Thank you – it was – but short lived!
Is that all? Climate change is indeed real and changing our words Ann – C….

It is – wish we could have some more, but now the ”winter” is over I think.
Kind of ethereal. 🙂 🙂
♥
Even we’ve had more winter in one day last week than that!! Wishing I could send you a nice load of snow.

In winter, I want snow, not rain, even though both are moisture. ❄️❄️. Enjoy but be careful.
Thank you – I will!
This is beautiful and tragic both at the same time.
It is. Thank you, Michael. In fact I am feeling rather low this winter. 3 hours of sun in November, and not more a month since then.
Ugh. Keep creating. You can out-create it.
♥ I try.
Looks like it was one lovely winter day. 😊
It was, Irene! Too short a joy though.
We should be so lucky. Check this out: https://rlavalette.wordpress.com/2020/02/20/remnants/
Thank you for the link – but…I would maybe prefer a lot of snow! I grew up with those views, and now they are forever lost…
Love this image, A C!
Glad you do, Sue! It is a beautiful place.
😊😊

I agree!

Fake snow’s no good for anyone ….
