My calendar is full these days – and I guess it’s the same with you… I have great difficulties in keeping up with everything.

Babysitting, and going with my son and the grandchildren to see a puppet theatre…
…then to a nunnery and castle for a great exhibition of Ukrainian quilt art.

As I have close contacts with Ukrainian friends, I admire their art, their resilience and ingenuity.

We had three major birthdays too in May!
I also met an Alien…

…and realized how much I love stripes…
…and beautiful skies!
You get the idea? My mind is reeling with thousands of things. We also have guests living here for some days. Even if I love having all these events around, deep down I am a person who loves silence and being on my own, doing my own things. I could easily live alone in a cottage – with a dog or cat.
Could you?

A lovely post … 😊
Your landscapes are beautiful and I was very happy to see more of those Ukrainian quilts. The one with the poppies and all the place names seems especially poignant. I hope you do manage to carve out time for yourself amid all this busyness 🤗
Thank you, Sarah! Traveling again soon, so, no time by myself, but hopefully relaxing!
Oh yes – have a great trip!
Thank you! Have a great Midsummer🌼
Such a busy week. No wonder you need quiet, alone time to recharge. I am sure it was all worth it though. I think I would leave my dogs with the family. After twenty-five years living with champion barkers, I need a break. 🙂
You do!
Oh my…..busy, busy! I do hope you get some downtime soon. I am most impressed with Ukrainian’s art, and agree that they seem to have great resilience and ingenuity
♥
❤️❤️❤️My mother was a Gemini too. She passed away 6 years ago, but I think of her every day.
Love,
Ann-Christine
Lovely shots of the busy days 🙂.
❤️
And that is what makes life exciting and at times unexpected turns
❤️
Not with a dog or cat, but alone…yes. I love that last photo xx
♥
Am first of all smiling at the zebra bottoms and ‘alien’ blooms. My birthday arriving next week reminds me what a real and true Gemini I am 🙂 ! Lucky methinks – I love being with people, especially sitting down for long lunches and dinners, good food and wine . . . But, even more I love being alone to do ‘my own thing’ because there always seem to be a million, trillion things which are waiting . . . Lucky I was born when I was . . . And I thoroughly understand you . . .
I cannot see my comment – but I did comment! Happy Birthday, dear Eha❤️
This is a beautiful post Ann-Christine!
Extreme introvert that I am, I completely understand. We intentionally moved into a cottage on our move to Michigan. Take a deep breath and you’ll be fine. 😊
By the way, your photos are lovely and the landscapes scream quietness.
Thank you, Pepper. How great you live in a cottage! I was an extreme introvert too, but through my job (teacher) I had to work with my situation and it came out rather well without me never becoming very social. Now that I am retired I can choose my own company more.
Teacher – one of the most important jobs ever. Thanks for all you did. 😉
I do live alone in a small house with a cat. It is nice. But I am too busy these days to enjoy it very much.
Oh – but I hope you relax some days and enjoy it anyway!
Oh goodness. And in all this busyness, you’re sparing time for us! Are you sure? Please don’t let us become just another obligation, much as we want to meet you ….
No, it will be wonderful!❤️
💌
Yes, I could live alone in a cottage, especially with views like these. Thanks for a lovely tour of the countryside, art, aliens, and zebra butts. 😄
Haha – glad you enjoyed!
What a beautiful post! Your calendar was filled with fun filled experiences. Family time is the best and the Ukrainian quilt art is amazing. I agree with you about quiet time. Yes, I could live alone in a cottage with a dog.
Thank you, Beth – good to know I am not alone…
I should have said with my husband and a dog!
Our calendar is fuller then other years.. somehow this year kids want to travel around and we have parties to visit 🙂
Phew, glad my own children are grown up now – but now it is the grandchildren that wants some attention!
🙂 Nice! Grandchildren – i’ve hear it’s the best! You can spoil them and have no responsibility for what they wear, education etc 🙂
Haha, in Sweden we say grandchildren is the dessert in life!
Something similar in Latvian 🙂 Enjoy!
