First of all – huge thanks for sharing your many interesting adventures last week! I finally found about 15 of them in the spam folder…but I did find them! Loved the variety and that you shared adventures from long ago too. I could recall the feeling of adventure from my own youth – that original feeling doesn’t come easy nowadays… Age and life experience has taken away part of it. We have to take that.
This week Anne has got some really good tips on how to enjoy, or cope with, the summer heat…please visit her lovely site for more daze inspiration!

To me, summer means late nights and early mornings, the only time when it’s not too warm. My absolutely best temperature is 23 degrees C – unbelievable to some, but that’s when my body works the best. When we stay for a longer time at warm places, the body gets gradually used to it after a while.

When evening comes I might go biking in the soft air…

Or walking by the sea to watch the youngsters fishing or swimming.

Early mornings we can take the canoe down to the lake, watching the great herons lift from both sides of the canal.

In the middle of the day, we all stay in the shadow, reading or playing games – or just relaxing with our dog. Except for my husband, who always has loved the sun and can sit in a chair just letting it wash all over him.

The best thing is a short, cooling swim. The water temperature seldom rises above 20 at our summerhouse. This year, I haven’t jumped in the water more than once – 11 degrees is far too cold for me!
A warm thank you to Anne for letting us soak up the summer daze this week – next week it is Patti’s turn to lead – see you then!
Great set of summer images, A C!

🥰
Ahh, summer. I just found out that yesterday was the last day the sun set after 9 PM in Fargo until next year. Sliding slowly into winter, but the thermometer hasn’t caught up to the descent yet. >grin<
I love the sound of your relaxed summer days! I’m comfortable at 23 C and can go a bit higher to around 26 C, but when it gets into the 30s as it has done here some days this year I find it too much. I might even welcome your 11 C water 😀
;-D
This is how we spend our days on holidays if we go abroad and it’s too warm. Here, on the other hand, with temperatures in the low 20s or even less we pack in as much as we can. I love your photos this week, Ann-Christine, they do convey a sense of laziness and carefree relaxing.
Thank you, Sofia – it was great fun finding them too!
Lovely summer photos to arrive right in the middle of our winter . . . Am smiling > today’s top temperature is meant to be 22C . . . A bit cool, but not complaining ?? ! ________________________________
My temp😁
I can definitely live in 23ºC temperature! Your gallery is fantastic, and all photos are beautiful. I do love the fishing pier as my top favorite. The canoe is second. Wonderful post!
Oh, this post sings of Sweden to me. Such memories evoked by these photos!
Spending summer days with you sounds perfect, Ann-Christine. That golden light on the water really soothes the soul. 23-25C is fine by me. 30+ is very wearing xx
Cooling views…a great collection.
Beautiful images of Summer Anne-Christine, the reflections in the water with the water lily pads is especially gorgeous and there’s nothing better than a sun-puddling dog 🥰💚🐾 xxx
Lovely photos and summer memories. I wish we had cold water to jump in. Our lakes feel like bathwater.
There’s a real summer vibe in this post. Just looking at that water makes you feel cooler 🙂
I love the variety of your photos..I especially like the abandoned bicycles and the woman lying in the grass. But then the canal is lovely as well..and. Guess I love all of them.
Glad you have enjoyed nice weather, not many sunny summer days here; I really enjoyed your place for summer enjoyment. Photos are 10+ as expected
