For Cee this week – Rain or Rainbows – luckily I found both!
And I could not resist my pretty little Swiss girls either – surely they are little rainbows both of them?
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Sunset to Sunrise (including any nighttime photography)
40 metres up in the canopy of the Amazon jungle – the most fantastic ever, of my sunsets experienced. The sounds from the jungle. The warmth. The stillness. A total sense of belonging and being one with nature. A religious feeling.
Returning to our lodge, leaving the canoes and heading for the welcoming lights.
Iceland, winter sunset on the south coast.
Returning to Reykjavik through the cold landscape – some icelandic horses on the horizon.
The header photo was taken from camel back, a sunset in the Morockan desert.
Leaves or trees – leaves And trees are my kindred spirits. For Cee this Tuesday, I have focused on two of my favorite countries and some of my favorite trees and leaves. In the header, autumn coloured beech by the lake near my home in Sweden.
Tree ferns of New Zealand are plants I would have loved to have in my country. They bring magic and beauty to the world.
The Kauris of NZ, here Tane Mahuta, are both majestic and endemic giants. See the people on the ground below!
When paddling through the thick, mangrove like trees, we admired all the other plants living on the tree branches and tree trunks. This is the east coast of NZ.
The Southern Beech is a very beautiful tree with rather tiny leaves, seen in enchanted forests by the road to Milford Sound. The fallen tree trunks still full of new branches.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Wildlife
Wildlife – we will not survive without it. My contribution for Cee is four bird species.
From the Galápagos Islands – a young Red-footed Booby and a yellow warbler.
And, from my winter garden –
a bullfinch and a great tit. Both sitting in my old apple tree.
Who does not love birds?
For Cee this week – a nesting stork on top of an old church ruin in Spain.
I love those big birds of prey, like the Harpy. Frightening but beautiful. They call this bird the most cruel bird of prey.
Eagle owls are very big – and beautiful – too. These two shots are from Walsrode bird park, the biggest park in Europe (at least).
Letter Z – In the header haze, Mount Ruapehu, New Zealand.
Somewhere in Switzerland
Then, my little boy, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzleeping on the – table…
Why this cake?
Because my daughter loves baking smashing things just for fun!

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter X – X needs to be anywhere in the word or shaped like the letter X
For Cee’s challenge this week – I go for shape. A mountain meadow in Switzerland – flowers and steep hills. There is need for an X- fence.
Letter W – Needs to start with W and have two vowels in the word (window, wheel, wagon, working, weather, woodshed, woman)
In the header – Wisteria – a favorite flower in every respect!
Woman. One of my favorites -a collegue of mine, waiting for Heathcliff on the moors!
Window. From a silent, late evening walk in the old part of Riga.
