Black &White Sunday: Imperfect
For Paula (Lost in Translation) this week – Imperfect. A theme for many of my photos, but some of them I love …anyway.

See You Soon!
Time for a short break. Time for National Tests in school and also some days off duty…I went back to work in October and, as usual, the most buzy days are in April and May.
May you all have a great celebration around May 1! Let Spring bring some warm winds now, replacing the rain, snow and hail we have had for some weeks.
For the first time ever, my beautiful magnolia started to unfold…just when Winter decided to return. So, she is standing here, displaying a sadly black and withered sight. I will just have to show all her usual splendour. Glad to have a camera and old photos these days…
Travel theme: Earth
Earth Day. I listened to her, as I do every day, but as this was a very special day, I walked with all my senses, even more intently listening…
Planet Earth is mostly water – the Blue Planet. Today was a lucky day, because the blue was clear and intense – in the skies as well as in the water on the ground.
And the tiny wood-sorrel made last years’ leaves look green and fresh again…
…maybe not all of those leaves were that lucky, but slowly drifting in a fresh pool is beautiful as well.
Like the clouds. They all meet here – the sky, the clouds, the earth, the trees and the water.
We all belong here…to this planet and in this world and in this universe…
I believe all of us know…and my best friend knows it too. He felt so good today, running around, bathing and frolicking in the leaves…
Howling when he was told we were walking again…
So, this day, Earth Day, has been a beautiful day of belonging and pondering about what we have and how grateful we all should be.
We are not here forever…only for some short moments we can dance in the light. Let us take good care of each other, and of our Planet Earth – we want our children and grandchildren to feel this gentle belonging and the joy of life…and above all, it really is the animals’ and the plants’ planet, isn’t it. They were here first. We are responsible.
WPC: Earth
Cheri reminds us of the upcoming Earth Day, and if something or someone needs our love and support, it is her: Planet Earth.
We all have our separate thoughts and interpretations of ”Earth”, and I am thinking… my choice must be a favourite little piece of her. A place where I can cry over all our wrong doings, ponder over life in general and be grateful and happy about the good things in life. A place of beauty, a place for new hope and strength. This must be, a place with a tree. My old trees. Go here for more of our beautiful Planet Earth.

Thursday Thoughts – Feeling Blue
Mmm…tonight I’m feeling blue. So…I will return to one of the velvet blue mornings in the Galápagos archipelago. Blue, oh, so blue…this last morning of our great adventure.
Early morning, Galápagos, Santa Cruz, leaving our ship in the pangas. heading for the mangroves, the birds and the turtles.
Blue- footed Boobies, shining – waiting for the sunrise. Frigate birds high up in the sky.
And the admirers arrive in their tiny boats…but we do not care…
…just keep following our morning routines…and chores…
…on the lookout for food. Here I am – Mr. Lava Heron, grey and blue.
And the admirers return to their ship, a bit more light blue…but still. Knowing these are the last glimpses of Paradise.
