On TV last night, there was a young man, only 16, who made my heart jump and my spirits rise. Read about this young environmental activist, Xiuhtezcatl! See him interviewed, listen to him! 16 years old only and has travelled over the world, lecturing, has put pressure on the US government about the environment and what legacy they have to leave for generations to come.
We are a tribe of young activists, artists and musicians from across the globe stepping up as leaders and collaborating to defend our planet. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

Jen at WordPress asks us to bring along some magic…Some of the most magical memories I have, are from the Moroccan desert – the Sahara night. This, is true magic to me.

Late night in Riga. We rode one station too far and had to walk back. A bit scary though…
In Vilnius I saw this young couple coming out of a church. They did not hold hands. The young lady was holding her dress instead. He was walking casually right behind her.
In one of the old city’s most famous spots, they were photographed.
They looked so young…yet I believe they had known each other for a while. No infatuation shining, no signs of being ”in love”. I watched them silently walking down the street – no sign of guests or friends. Still not holding hands. Half an hour later we saw them sitting on a bench in the square, munching some fast food and watching the air balloons sailing across the sky.
I wonder what they were thinking. I wonder about their lives and their future. I would have liked to listen to their story.

Cannot resist Spain, of course…Dalí’s home in Figueras and Gaudí’s Casa Battló, Barcelona.
Outdoors everything is heavily frozen – beautiful, but my hands and feet are complaining. So, what is happening in my flower rooms now? If you, like me, love flowers, let us go and see! Click to read their names and to enlarge.
Some of the orchids are always in flower – especially the Phalaenopsis’.
But, right now most of them are over, leaving the scene to some other beauties.
I have many phalaenopsis’ in different colours – this one is abundant right now.
This brown and yellow orchid is the same as the one in the header. A fragrant Cambria.
A 50 centimetre high, impressive Brassia – resembling my old Brassia Rex –
– although this one is not as much ”spidery”as the Rex.
Lastly, a rose – not one of my own potplants. But still – elegantly living its short life here in my rooms.
