Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Three Items for the Number Three

I was lucky to be featured last week on Cee’s site. Thank you! This week we should find three items or the number three. Here are some great flowers – and those in the middle are not the least great ones!

More of numbers here.

Mera Madrid – More of Madrid, People and Others

Madrid is one of my favourite cities, and of course I will take you for a walk once more. Hopefully you will recognize some places but not all of them!

The terminal – walking in – had a very nice arcitechture. This place was new to me as we normally don’t go here with Iberia.

Then Madrid met us with the same happy face as usual – but people and other little friends are always new and interesting.

One of my favourite places to go is the big city parc – Retiro. The Crystal Palace is the place where interesting exhibititions are up – this time the theme was nomad tents. The artist, Federico Guzmán.

Cee’s Black&White Photo Challenge: Ground

So, I will give this a try – hopefully I will learn more about this area – Black&White. You are very inspiring, Cee!

Ground is the topic, and that is something I treasure very much.

Travel theme: Old-fashioned

Old-fashioned…what is that? For me it might have something to do with traditions as well – so, have a look at all the different interpretations of Old-fashioned !

This old-fashioned cap or hat is still used by all graduating students in Sweden. Its history is about 175 years old. And, we all still sing the special Students’ Song at the special dinner before being set free…and throw them in the air before running out into a completely new life…

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Two Very Different Items

For Cee this week – two very different items... The lower part of this picture shows one of my students (in a bar in Madrid) and the upper part of the picture…

At least they both smile!

Mina drömmars trädgård – The Garden of my dreams

Jag har hittat Min Drömträdgård. Flera timmar satt jag där, och gick och njöt, ensam. Jag är på gång med en bildsvit därifrån, men väntar på att ägarna ska artbestämma allt jag fotograferat.

I have visited the garden of my dreams – My Dream Garden. I walked there all alone for several hours, just contemplating and savouring it all…Now I’m waiting for the owners to tell me what species everything is that I photographed. They travel and collect plants from all over the world, but now they are getting old and maybe will not be able to take care of this Paradise anymore..

Here is a first glance…

WPC: Off-Season

I read somewhere that the period referred to as off-season in Sweden is November 1- March 21. I think I agree…

The Botanical garden in Madrid – again

I often visit the botanical garden in Madrid – in fact it is almost once a year nowadays. Come walk with me in this fragrant spring evening!

Callistemon – a favourite of mine. I once brought one home from Nepal, many years ago, but it died during one of my travels. Not easy for my mother to take care of…

You don’t necessarily need flowers to see the beauty.

The tiniest ones are enough too…

Allium is truly irresistable. Beautifully displayed against a dark background.

Yellow and red is wild and enigmatic together in this Caesalpinia Gilliesii.

This little one had no name – but glowed in the shadows.

…together with Yellow fire…

Lovely ”needles” everywhere.

The tiniest – allium and others.

And more. White poppies and Callistemon in all their glory.

WPC: Vivid

Vivid – yes. In a botanical garden there is plenty of room for this. One of my small Krol Lilies has finally decided to show its pretty face – but that is nothing compared to these!
