#99 Första – First (1/365)

Så börjar då fotoutmaningen 365 foton – och mitt första foto ser lite underligt ut…men jag tog helt enkelt ett foto på en almanacka…

2014 in review – and Happy New Year!

-To all my faithful readers, commenters and viewers – My Friends – in the blogosphere.

My heart is filled with gratefulness for you being here, making this blogging year a great joy. Thank You for staying with me during 2014! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and pieces of your lives, for helping us understand how this World maybe works about the same for us all. Support is what we all need, often, and sometimes even more.

I like to think of You as bright sparkles in the sky, and so I send you my best stardust wishes for a bright, healthy and joyful 2015. See you Next Year!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 22,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Early morning – frosty walk

Freezing cold – oh joy! And to finally see the sun is glorious. To be alone, walking and  marveling about our glorious nature. How the birds can survive this cold and sleep gently on the ice. How the frosty grass meets the eye with its glittering diamonds.

Travel Theme: Minimalist

Yesterday morning came without a wind. 11 degrees C and this photo is from a frosty walk about 9 a.m.

WP Weekly Photo Challenge: Warmth

Warmth can be interpreted in several ways… My choices are from a hot beach reflected in a warm window and what the warmth of Totti’s body did to our frosty lawn.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Cities and City-structures

Barcelona is a famous city – and many visit every day. Gaudí stands out of course, but there are also modern structures worth a view. Go to Cee for more!

The Night Before Christmas

I have been sitting in the darkness by the Christmas tree. It’s raining. Some days ago I went to see The Hobbit – the last movie on the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien. I enjoyed it even if there was too much war and fighting. A sad ending – of course. I was reflecting upon it, there, in the darkness.

I remember when I was young and read all his stories…just How Much I loved them. I think I still do. Black and white – not much grey. And, sometimes I still wish for a Magician to come and put everything right in this world…even if I know things will go wrong again – it’s human nature.

In order to restore my happy mood, I persuaded my children to watch The Intouchables (2011) with me. I love that movie, and I knew they would love it as well. It’s based on a true story, and its positive views and humour concerning the grim life we lead here on Earth cannot be overestimated.

From a dark and rainy Skane, Sweden, I wish you all a

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

To my help, I’ve had a little Magician of my own – Totti. Maybe that’s why you perhaps do not recognize him in this picture…

Vintersolståndet – Winter Solstice

Finally it’s here – now – Welcome Light!
