WPC: Today Was a Good Day

Today was a good day – a good topic from WordPress. Hopefully the good days will uplift us all! Click here for more of them.

I had a day out in the garden, enjoying the few flowers I have left right now.

A cold spring and summer has not been the best for any flower, but finally the begonia is on its way…A closer look at her showed a little guest snuggled up close…

To my great joy, I also found the first flower for this year on my Passiflora – Passionflower. I adore this colour.

I went inside to get something to eat, when one of my old friends called. I hadn’t talked to her for some time – too much to do in spring and now – vacation. She suggested I come over this afternoon, but I was in the middle of fixing things in the garden and wanted to come tomorrow instead.

Impossible.

I was so looking forward to a chat, that I worked as fast as I could according to my plan, to be able to meet up in the evening instead. And so we did. We decided to go to Hovdala and the lake for a walk and talk. Of course I brought my camera – there might be excellent light as the sky was clear and the air warm.

WPC: Creepy

The creepiness for me is related to how real the face looks…until you see it from behind. The rain did it…made it look real.

WPC: Half-and-Half

This week we are requested to divide a photo into halves or layers. My entry is from this spring and an early morning by the lake. More entries here.

WPC : On the Way

Sometimes the way is more interesting than the final goal or end of destination.

Reina Sofia in Madrid is a modern museum containing among other famous works of art – Picasso’s Guernica. On the way to the painting, we walked in the beautiful, lofty corridors of the former hospital. The vaults and ceiling works of art in themselves.

Home in Sweden again, and on my way to an ordinary dog walk, Looking out the window I realize that on the way there is a stone wall clad in bright green ferns and snow white meadow saxifrage. I just had to stop for a photo…

So, don’t hesitate to look out the window, up in the ceiling or down on the floor – On the Way there are treasures waiting for you!

WPC Broken and Travel Theme Tangle

I went to a famous car churchyard, or junk yard, in the forest. There I found broken as well as tangled cars. Hope you will enjoy this too.

WPC: Forces of Nature

One of the strange and interesting forces of nature is the force of eruptions, volcanoes. This lava stream was flowing down the Icelandic landscape in the 17th century, and is now a beautiful but dangerous moss covered area. You cannot see what’s hiding under the moss – there could be huge holes several hundred metres down – now neatly covered death traps.

WPC: Intricate

Everything in nature is intricately developed. For the challenge Intricate, I have chosen mostly orchids but a very important insect as well.

WPC: Motion

Motion. Something about anything that can move…these two certainly can – Totti and his lovely daughter Belezza.
