The couple is graduating students I had at school. This was 2016 I think. And that bench – yes, beautiful…now all gone. The mansion sold and no gardens kept.
Such a lovely collection. What I’d really like though is to sit on that seat in your last photo and breathe in the scent of all those roses and lavender!

I think the old lady who lived there passed away and the house was left to the town. They decided not to keep the gardens going, but use the big house as a conference place. You can see it deteriorating if you look at the grounds. So sad. We were there last summer and were not allowed to pass the gates.

That last photo really is the last one for that garden – sorry to say. The big mansion is sold and the garden is gone.
