…we had a lovely walk
in the late afternoon light.

Outdoors and indoors – Punakha Dzong, Bhutan and the Long Room, Ireland.
I knew this would be the last day of the Indian summer this year. So, I decided to drive through the colourful October landscape over to a neighbouring hiking area.
I did not take the fastest road, but followed the old country roads through the rural landscape in its late evening glory.
Piled trunks, waiting to be chipped, creates another kind of rural harmony in the landscape. Just like the animals, they are essential for the farmers to make a living.
Then the hard road surface softly turns into gravel…
…and just around the corner, new views are awaiting.
Cattle silently munching, not knowing that soon they will have to return to the stable – or…maybe not…
Number 1!
The evening is warm and hazy, colourful and still. I stand in the middle of the road, just to hear the silence and feel the sunshine. There is a certain sadness…coming over me.
Soon we will be there. Ready for the evening walk. Milo and me.

This week Amy is hosting our challenge, and she lets us all have the opportunity to change the world…or the world in photos at least!
As summer is changing into autumn, so the colours here in Sweden change our perception of nature. I love autumn for its earthy scent and for its colours – only lasting for a few days, but what beautiful days!
My walks in the foggy mornings at Hammarmölledamm (a pond in our forest) this week, showed the area in a new mood every day. Fog and mist too are great changers.
Changing the original picture into something like a painting is easily done with different software, and great fun. Here is a water colour…
…and here is an abstract version. For both pictures I have used FotoSketcher. Which one do you like most? And how much does the framing mean to the picture – and to you?
Thank you, Amy, for the opportunity to Change!
Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Things Made Out of Plastic

Most things in this fun cafe’ are made of plastic – Lodz, Poland.
Yesterday was the start of the Indian summer here in Skåne (Scania). We had 20 degrees C, sunny and no wind – a wonderful day.
The bees have had a tough summer this year, but now they seem to pop up from nowhere, buzzing gently to each other over my garden’s last flowers.
It is a joy watching them – more difficult to catch them on a photo though…
Later in the evening I went out again to enjoy the last of the autumn sun.
My lavender flowers are long since gone, but bowing their neat capsules in the fading light. I am grateful for a glorious Indian summer day – they say we will get at least another four of them this week.
