Totti ligger gärna med benen upp i luften när han mår bra, sover, eller blir kliad på magen.
Totti often sleeps like this – legs up in the air – when he’s feeling fine
being scratched too…
For Cee – sleighbells and wild geese are some of my favourite things.
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels, Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, These are a few of my favorite things.
Grandfather’s horses used these bells. Sleigh bells? I love the sound and the worn leather. We’re fortunate enough to have kept them, even if we don’t use them. I knew they were down in the cellar, and I found them in grandmother’s old rocking chair.
Wild geese and cranes early in the morning at Hornborgasjön.
Pimped – an entry I didn’t believe I could match, really. Until my son stood smiling in the door holding the Gameboy of his childhood in blue hands…Pimped in new colours with the ”right” stickers and paintings on. He loves everything to do with games and art – working with graphic design.
No stars to be seen, no snow, no nothing…I live up north in the darkness, so the twinkling I must search for – in my old vaults and chambers…This Christmas will be my number four, blogging, so here are some memorable twinklings from 2011-2013!
feet and/or shoes. Here we go…
Party
Looking smart
After a long day’s walk
Several bare feet…
…and the most beloved ones!
My mother and I like to walk, and every year we visit Vedema, only some miles from where I live. This area is perfect for hikers and others who want to enjoy the outdoors. Follow me and Totti on a day out with my mother, looking for this autumn’s lovely mushrooms! Indeed they are all wonders, and all different ones…
After a couple of hours – and a beautiful couple of gigantic red toadstools, we met a young lady called Bella – and Totti fell totally in love…For some 15 minutes we were all in the middle of ”The Fast and the Furious”.
Walking back again after some coffee and buns, we felt we’d had a refreshing day.
The WordPress challenge this week is about adventure. The greatest adventure is Life, the life we have been given. We don’t know anything about what’s waiting just around the corner…we only know that we all are going to die one day. This is what we all have in common.
My greatest adventure then, is following my children grow up and helping them discover the world, themselves and their special gifts and possibilities.
My daughter, my eldest child, is now turning 24. Even if she has travelled with us to many places in the world, her greatest adventure was living and working with nature issues in New Zealand. She stayed for two months, learned many important things, and was a different person when she came back home.
My son has not yet been working abroad, but here he is hiking the Azoric island of Flores. A great adventure for us all.
So…following the two of them along their different paths…
…on their adventures – is my great adventure. And the thing is, that you never know what’s waiting around the corner. What is prepared just for you? Surely an adventure worth entering upon!
Today is not a funny day – my master has taken down a lot of bushes and trees in our garden and we have to cut down and remove two giant fur (fir) trees that’s grown too big to handle if a new storm comes this way. At least that’s what my master says. Last year one of the birch trees fell over our house, and now he has gone crazy cutting down every tree we have…I had no idea this was coming…no one told ME. I don’t have to say any more …let the pictures speak for themselves…
I have got two wonderful youngsters at home this summer – in a couple of weeks they will be back at university and my house will feel so empty. Now, both of them are active and creative people and they interact with a lot of other creative people. But…I think every parent knows how different their kids are even if they do have the same parents and – for the most part – about the same upbringing…
My son is 22 and my daughter is 24.
What picture belongs to the life of who?
At my age, I’m more often attending funerals than weddings… Luckily our children’s friends are coming of age…and on rare occations… we are invited to this great feast of joy – a wedding.
A mix of cultures makes these occations even more interesting. Enjoy a mix of pictures where the bride and groom entertain their hundreds of guests – playing and singing in a band. A lovely wedding for young and old, for musicians and everyone invited! Thank you!
