So far this year, there is no real winter here in Skane, Sweden – there is no snow. There is not even frost and it’s not remotely close to zero degrees C. Last year is another story…winter was upon us in early December and lasted for several months, in fact it was one of the ”worst ”winters ever when it comes to snow, cold and endurance…
I will have to use those lovely memories from last year, Ailsa, to really show Winter.
Gorgeous photos! Like a fairy-tale… 🙂
It was a fairy-tale winter! Just the kind of winter I always long for…and those dreams almost never come true. Looking at the pictures I can hardly believe it really happened.
Wow! Beautiful set of photos.
Thank you! Last winter was great – this one, so far – dark, grey, gloomy, rainy…any word that means depressive. I need light in my life.
You are welcome to visit New Mexico, USA. We have over 350 days of sunshine a year on average.
Sounds tempting. If I had a ticket right now that would be something to consider – for a few seconds.
I love the snowy silence! We are far from that this year – 11° outside!
As we have here, 6-7 and heavy rain. Yesterday was the only sunny day in December so far. But, Christmas it is anyway. Happy Holidays!
Now we have 14°!!!
Schöne Weihnachten! And thanks for visiting!
Merry, Merry Christmas to you too – now we have 9 degrees and heavy rain…

Same with us here – a couple of frosts, lots of rain and wind. Last November we were snowed in!
:(( Yes, at least we can enjoy picture snow…
That final photo, under the spreading branches, is astonishing.
I’m so glad you like it, it’s one of my favourite winter photos I have ever taken.
Hope you at least have snow for Christmas Day!
The forecast says +10 degrees C and rain…
A Winter Wonderland!
Last year – yes!
No snow in Sweden?! What’s happening to our weather. A friend was there at Christmas a couple of years ago and was almost snowed under.
Yes, what’s happening is exactly what the scientists say will happen if we do not treat Mother Earth more wisely.
Beautiful photos. White trees and blue sky, that’s really great.
Thank you! Wish it was here now!
yes, wonderful photos of some real winter in Sweden. Long for it, but have to look back on photos of all the snow. Real great to keep it in our photos so we can enjoy anytime!
Agree!
Leya, just beautiful … glad we have passed winters to fall back on !!!! Love the last photo in the gallery – so stunning, hopefully it will be like that this year too .. before it’s time for spring. Wish you a great weekend.
A great weekend to you too, Viveka! Photos are essential…more and more I guess. And let’s hope for some of this beauty this year too.
