On visiting my blogger friend Maria of MariaYarri, in Jämtland this winter, she showed me a glimpse of the famous Copperhill in Åre.
Åre is a major ski resort in Jämtland, and this lodge is as shiny and extraordinary as it is expensive to stay in…
I was fortunate to live at Maria’s instead. And everything was excellent there – food, service, conversation, entertainment, company and guiding during the days. This beats Copperhill – not a chance I would have changed my lodgings!

Beautiful ….with all that copper, but no warmth – I think you had the best hotel stay anyone could ask for.
I sure did!
Beautiful and shiny, Leya. Around here, someone would probably break in to steal the copper, as the price is so high right now. 😦

I understand…it’s the same here. I wonder how they manage to keep the copper safe at Copperhill.. Here they even ventúre up on church roofs to steal the old copper plates. It seems there’s nothing stopping them. Crazy and tragic.
Gorgeous copper finishes. I would also love to meet up with Maria and Yarri. 🙂
You wouldn’t regret it – she’s a lovely lady. And Yarri is a lovely guy!
This is beautiful, perfect example.
Thank you, Mary!
🙂
Beautiful, but, I agree, there’s nothing more beautiful than being a guest in a friend’s home. Quite a few of the new buildings in Christchurch are using copper. I am not sure that I like it in the Christchurch context.
From what I remember, I think I might agree. Copper is popular…but not always suitable.
Exactly.
Wowee, Ann-Christine !! – that sure is shiny, no doubt about it ! 🙂
Happy Easter, M.R.!
That sure is shiny! I had no idea of this place — I’ve never been to Åre! It should have been located in Kopparberg LOL
He, he…
Lovely warm reflected light . It does look supershiny expensive 😉
😉
Beautiful copper shining captures!
Copperhill is an appropriate name…!
That copper is wonderful!! Just perfect for shiny. Thanks for playing.
