Autumn is here, and most of the colours are gone. Bright flowers still during daytime but at night, in lamplight, the trees are still golden.
More autumn is to be found at Ailsa’s!

Oh these are gorgeous photos of Autumn. So very well done, Ann-Christine
Lovely comment – thank you! You must be on your way to the loveliest of seasons down under!
Well, some may think that, but not to me. Summer is endless and hard to take, as the sun is so strong, all the colour is bleached out of nature, and a hazy steamy humidity fills the air, making me feel extremely lethargic. Nice weather for swimming at the beach, but you do have to be so careful of sunburn. I much prefer the cool and autumn shades are pretty close to my favourite.
What beautiful plant containers.
I love them too – I really would like to buy one for next year.
I hope you do. 🙂
I don’t know where to get one, really! They always seem to be filled up with flowers, standing beautifully shimmering in shops and stores. I haven’t seen one for sale…
Maybe the shop would sell you one of the display items at a discount. ; )
Good idea! Last year’s hit!
Lovely golden tints in the lamplight Ann Christine .
Still waiting for a blaze … it seems here late somehow this year …
Your Rome trip sounds GOOD 🙂
Thank you, Poppy – Rome was really good. Weather and people and food…and of course art, buildings and ….well – simply everything about Rome is fantastic.

Thank you!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Where I live there are almost no leaves left.
The way the trees have been trained to grow over the path and over the bridge is WONDERFUL, and so are those rush baskets that are planted with flowers. You Swedes ceratinly know how to make your place nice ! 🙂
Mmm, I love those trees too. They are plane trees.
As long as they’re not London plane trees !
Oh, why?

Well…great problem I understand! When I expressed my love for birch trees, I had a blogger’s answer from NZ about the planting of those over there, causing a great deal of allergic problems. I highly respect these problems and I catch colds every year, so something I understand…but I’m not allergic to anything – yet. What I do believe is that you should not plant things or bring new animals into spheres where they do not naturally live. I think that might be a big reason for the problems. Takes common sense to suspect that…but not everyone in politics or other major positions (who should make decisions concerning many people) is so gifted…
Or even remotely so, Ann Christine ! In fact, totally half-witted. Grrrrrrrrrrrr …
Love these two photos of Autumn, especially the first one. The lighting, composition… are perfect!
Amy, thank you for a lovely comment! Rome is an everlasting beauty.
Oh wow, perfect symbols of autumn.
I wish we had more colours this year, but no frost, then the colours will not come.
🙂 Beautiful picture! This is fall at its best! 🙂
Thank you!
Due splendide foto a rappresentare l’autunno.
Buona serata e buon fine settimana.
Ciao, patrizia
Grazie, Patrizia! A lovely weekend I wish you – and Rome was delightful!
